Its a shame. I hate when you are controlled on your own property but at the same time I would hate to live next to that. Its usually a mental issue and too bad there is not another way to handle it.

Neighbors said his Moms *passed away* recently. I suggest the cops get a warrant for the guy's attic, see if mom is up there sitting in a rocking chair.

According to the accompaning article, LB Chief Mc Donald reports that tremendous restraint was used by the officers in not returning fire after being shot at several times during the long siege. All after he shot a code enf officer in the head. Zerby was not so fortunate. Strange, Mc Donald defended the officers who showed no restraint at all in shooting Zerby to death. They did not even command him to drop the water nozzle. So getting back to this current suspect who shot the code enf officer, why in the hell has his name and booking photo not been released. The PT did it's usual piss poor reporting on this one. They could have published his name. He was well known on the street. This Chief McDonald is a damn hypocrite in praising the restraint in this matter and just last year praising the cops who shot Zerby.

So do not expect too much. I do not know what Chief McDonald's deal is. I do know of a certain, silly clown who works for a major fast-food chain and maybe this police chief is his brother... Hang in there, SPL.

SPL, you did bring up a good point about restraint. If I had a few more facts from the PT, I would think differently in most of these instances.

Now the scavengers are stealing stuff from his house and yard. That's what happens when you shoot a code enforcement officer.

Heard of Northtown, a modern day Twighlight Zone within our metropolis. Interesting setting for my next movie. Close by to our Hollywood production crew and my place in Beverly Hills. Understand that the City of Long Beach is very progressive in nature and bends over backwards in accomodating film shoots and the entire process. Also, an associate has informedd me that this highly diverse neighhborhood of Northtown is abundant with extras (intersting characters) who would welcome seasonal employment. Our wardrobe department would not even be burdened with supplying the costumes.

@Mr Stone. I heard that you like to smoke weed. Better hurry down to Long Beach for principal filming. LB has some pot stores now but they will soon be going away, thanks to reactionary members of the City Council.

This is usually the day you would expect the Channel 4 news to run an interview with the suspect's mom, where she says my son is a good boy, he was "turning his life around," he was a good daddy to his keeds, no way would he shoot at anyone, the cops are mistaken, etc. That didn't happen here.

According to a decent piece of reporting by a foreign paper (Daily Mail), the LBPD had accompanied the inspector. This inidcates the PD felt the inspector needed armed protection. Piss poor performance by the PD. Then a seven hour seige. Piss poor job by the PD. At least the suspect suffered some dog bites. Good job by the canine.
