Who would buy it except another museum?

I see the insurance companies were smart, they priced themselves out of a contract on that one.

Well, there go the train sets needed by the 3-C corridor plan, which when completed (when or if that ever happens) won't go any faster than these trains did when they first ran the rails. So, let's put them back into service instead of selling them.

You know, that's just about right! The article did not note what type of motive power will go on the chopping block but it would no doubt be a shoe-in for the medium speed rail service being pushed by the supporters of that plan.

I would also hope that the equipment not go to scrap dealers but to other operators or museums in need of equipment.

And wouldn't it be something to see an EMD F unit humming down High Street! LOL!

I work for the railroad that this museum sits on. One of the locomotives is a 1946 S-2. The other one is similar but I can't remember exactly what it is, it is usually inside the building so I've only seen it on rare occassions. The equipment is old and beat. Friction bearings, thin flanges, etc. However, I will be making a bid on piece. I'd like to restore it....when I have time...maybe after retirement.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Libra

It's another day when tensions are rife and you feel stretched to breaking point. You might even totally lose your temper with someone, instead of merely snapping at them as you did yesterday. Mars stomps into reverse today, so it would be better to clear the air now with a row, and then forget all about it, rather than allowing bad feelings to accumulate and fester inside you.
