You know, that's just about right! The article did not note what type of motive power will go on the chopping block but it would no doubt be a shoe-in for the medium speed rail service being pushed by the supporters of that plan. I would also hope that the equipment not go to scrap dealers but to other operators or museums in need of equipment. And wouldn't it be something to see an EMD F unit humming down High Street! LOL! |
