Lets take the Sands in Bethlehem, nice enough place been there several times. Granted Bethlehem is nicer ( in SOME areas not all) than Atlantic City, however many areas including around the casino remain run down. So where is this big tax break of mine? Last year it was around a hundred dollars ( on over a four thousand dollar bill) but the school district made sure they did their part by putting my tax bill up to the amount of my big "tax break".
I agree many millions of tax dollars are thrown away in casinos a year. However, just look at the money alone that's put back into the casino and how much is given to the surounding area.
Surrounding areas are slums and generally stay slums because a casino isn't in business to be the good guy. They're in business to part the sucker from his money and keep it for themselves. They're a business not charty.

Question #4 I haven't live with my parents since I was 18 years old. But, since you asked, my property taxes that I pay are significantly higher than yours, as is my property tax relief from casino revenues.
