For months we have heard about the dangerous intersection of High Street and Kindig Lane. Residents of Conewago Township and MCSherrystown have complained and asked why Hanover will not install a signal light. Conewago Township officials also have stepped up and complained and stated "something needs done". Isn't this really strange that nothing was ever said before Clarks began their new buidling. Why isn't a signal light installed at Kindig Lane and Oxford Avenue? Since all these fine people from COnewago Township and their elected officials are in favor of a signal light how much will they be contributing to this good cause of public safety?

A light at Oxford and Kindig would not help the majority of truck traffic the wants quick access to Rt94 instead of small 2 lane back roads through eastern Adams Co. I agree Clarks building is not in an area for easy tranportation of goods. If I was building a large warehouse I'd want 2 limited access highways close by (RT 83/RT81)

Good points Bob. I think my major issue here is costs. Conewago Township didn't want to put any money in the Gateway project because they weren't gaining any tax base so as the saying goes " what goes around comes around". What would Hanover gain by spending $ 150,000 plus for a signal light to handle Conewago's traffic problem? Conewago officials are great to talk up about Hanover and Penn Township as long as it costs them nothing and costs the taxpayers of Hanover and Penn Township.

The developer paid for the road improvements and signals in Gateway. Conewago was never asked or expected to contribute to these improvements.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Aquarius

If you're a typical Aquarian you're often quite idealistic and today is no exception. You're wandering around on cloud nine, especially if you're thinking about a very special someone, and indulging in all sorts of deliciously romantic daydreams. Reality? You've no time for it right now, because it will intrude too much on your fantasies.
