Why weren't these children in school? Three teenagers in a car at 11:00 AM on a Friday when they should have been in school. Sounds like the accident last year in Hanover when the four teens cut school and one of them was killed, only this time it was an innocent victim in another car.

17... teenager.. you think because there was an infant in the car that means they suddenly have responsibility???? She apparently got knocked up... doesn't sound responsible to me. Point is... they KILLED someone - speeding through a STOP SIGN!!!! Nothing more to say... hope it HAUNTS their lives FOREVER!!!

. First off were you there do you know for a fact they were speeding! And second yes she got knocked up at a young age but she is very responsable she works to take care of her child and she is still in school most kids her age would push their child off on someone else. And yes it does bother her that someone got killed its not liike she went out that day and said lets blow a stop siign and see if i can kill someone your an ignorant a**hole who needs to know facts before you speak!

hmm, struck a nerve... you seem to be defending the irresponsible teenager. No worries, I have no personal stake in this conversation, I was just stating my opinion in the matter. I'm done - your getting far to vulgar and personal.
My thoughts are with Kim S. family!

Yes you did strike a nerve! And i understand you are stating your opinion but you dont have to say things like i hope it haunts them for the rest of their lives because believe me she is having a hard time with what happen she refuses to drive again and is terrified to even be in the passenger seat. And as far as defending her yes yes i am because i know what happened and i know what she is going through!

This girl took away a a beautiful mom from 4 kids that have no dad, only a wonderful man that would soon be their step dad but that will never happen now! Kim will never get to see her family or fiance again b/c of careless driving by a girl and her drug dealer boyfriend she was w/! If she wasn't speeding mabe Kim would have had a chance! Thank you for defending a driver that drove not only w/ a child in the back seat that wasn't properly secure as well, but also killed one of the nicest ladies I ever met! Kim's fiance not only got his future wife taken away he lost his best friend. I don't care how this young lady feels she hurt so many lives by her driving. She shiuld have her license taken for life since she took a life and ruined so many forever! Maybe even jail time!

how do you know the child was not properly secured and how do you know her boyfriend is a drug dealer and how do you know she was speeding cause all the paper said was she ran a stop sign i understand someone lost their life but to say things about haunting them all their lives is uncalled for she is upset at what happened im sorry someone lost a life but i will not let someone put down someone that is having a hard time dealing with all this!

I agree with all these other people. There are 14 year olds with kids these days. Nothing about a child makes her responsible. She did take a life with her ignorance. She should be charged with vehicular manslaughter at the very least, and she should feel bad. If you want to talk kids then think of her four not her one she shouldn't even have.

Look at the history of that intersection and you'll find out that this wasn't the first time that stop sign was ran. I personally think that the state should put more signs up to warn people about the stop sign. If you don't know what truly happened you have no business stating your opinion because you don't know them teenagers. And to assume they were in the wrong when you don't know what happened besides what the news says is not a logical way of thinking. My heart goes out to Kimberly Shipley's family and the teenagers who all have to deal with this for the rest of their lives. And one last thing think about if you were in that teenagers position and you make a mistake driving and cause an accident that takes somebody's life would you think you should be haunted or put in jail when you know it was an honest mistake. And how you would feel about people saying ignorant things about you. Just know that God wants us to treat everyone like he treats us. With LOVE, no matter what the circumstances. So, I saying ignorant things isn't showing love. God loves everyone no matter what they do whether an accident or not he still loves everyone. So shouldn't we do the same and strive to be more like him. Just think about the things you say before you say them. And think about what I just said.

She was speeding. I was there. I was the 3rd car. She was being irresponsible. I have to live with her mistake every day too, and haunts me. It wasn't even my fault but my heart breaks knowing I was even involved in the death of an innocent woman. She hurt my family. She busted up ny knee, hurt my husbands back and injured my 1 year olds nose. And, no the stop sign is not covered by trees or bushes or any kind of shrubbery. To the family of Kimberly Shipley, I'm so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and heart are with you every day.

If you want to get technical the teenage girl was not speeding it doing anything wrong for that matter. She honestly made a mistake and didn't see the stop sign, a lot of people do not see it. Maybe you all should learn the facts before you go and make up lies..her infant child was secured properly in their seat..just because she is a teen mom doesn't mean she isn't a good one. She knows she took someone's life and that she can't take it back..it's always in the back of her head..she's always thinking about it. It was an honest driving mistake, we all make them some are just tragic then others! Maybe you should all look up the history of that stop sign and know that there were accidents all the time..there was 3 or 4 just that month!
