I can't say enough how proud I am of you, Dad. You have been such a role model for the town of McSherrystown and it is bittersweet to have that end. I know the future will hold even more wonderful opportunities for you. You deserve all the recognition in the world for a job well done - as chief, husband, father, and grandfather. We love you!

Heck-I am in Maryland and want to give the guy a hug. Rumor has it that JoePa models himself after Chief Vial. Nice job Mike. Your professionalism should be emulated by others in law enforcement.

Good riddance. He never let the facts get in the way of an arrest. Might we hope that he and his integrity challenged wife will be relocating south of the border?

Always ONE! The Chief had to arrest at least one person in his career...looks like you are the disgruntled one. Possibly you should get your apple pickin' illegal self below the border where you belong, oh challenged one. KUDOS to the CHIEF!

about time, now the bourogh and the township can become one department since he was the one holding it up because he need the powere to be the cheif and the township did not want him. He is one of the most hated cops in the area by other cops and dispatchers. Just to let you know he never did anything anyway and lied about things the whole time he was cheif. Weaver should have been the cheif. Now him and his cheating wife can leave town and cheat on each other somewhere else. Ha HA what goes around comes around and your is coming Michael.

Finally. It is true, he is the reason why the township and borough could never merge together. He wanted to keep that title of Chief all to himself. Now hopefully those two departments can get together to become one class act. Meanwhile Vial will go to HACC and drive all the administrators and faculty nuts with his antics. They didn't know what they're getting into when they hired him.

I spoke with the outgoing Chief, and he related to me that the real reason he is retiring is because of the gang epidemic that has engulfed Gettysburg.

He said that times have changed, and the way he learned to police just doesn't work against these cold-blooded violent gang members.

It's only a matter of time before they spread to McSherrytown, he said.

And you are a liar. You never talked to him about anything. Unless of course perhaps you were one of those he has arrested over the years.

You are part of the problem in Gettysburg. All you have are insults to hurl at people who are only here to help. I pray that you fall victim to a gang crime, your family too.

NO, you are the problem under any of the names you use. You are constantly spreading lies about this find community that you canít prove. Proved some proof and act like a gentleman and donít wish bad things to happen to people who disagree with you, or call your bluff.

I feel that I and my family are perfectly safe in this community and go about our business in a normal way.
