hey silver.... lets have a blues festival, and draw in every harley jerk from tucson, el paso, and las cruces, sell them booze, and basically give them the town. throw in a bunch of rebel skate borders, un regulated dogs, a little meth...and then complain theres not enough corrupt police to watch over them. that sounds like a plan....!

To Jonathan Silver
The only jerk here is you my friend. Most of the folks that are on the Harleys know full well that booze and riding don't mix. Also those jerks put allot of money into Grant County for that three day weekend, they also bring their friends throughout the summer months to escape the heat.
As for the scateboarders the Police should have handed out tickets as there are already laws that address that issue.
You probably didn't take your meds today so we'll let you slide on your stupid remarks.

is it elkstiny? i was sitting next to a hispanic man about eighty years old the other day on bulard an we had to cover our ears from the noisy muffler on the bike. he commented "the louder the motorcycle the smaller their .....! have you ever seen a police officer write up someone coming out of the"buff"? c'mon, i've been riding a bike long enough myself to notice the "jerks"... and the numbers are growing. there's a few brothers who show respect as they drive into town...myself included. most of them come to silver because they can't get`away with their antics in their own towns so they come here and are a nuisance to most people living here. the police won't do anything because they're afraid of them. but times are changing my friend and the only prescription i would write for you is take a good enema and get the jerk out of yourself...if you can handle it. i don't know...maybe you're one of the good guys.. but i doubt it!!!!

I personally did not care for the vibes at the latest Blues Fest. It felt like the whole thing was more for people who don't live here. The concession area was tedious, like a cross between a lane at the fair and Tanque Verde Swap Meet. I thought there should of been midway rides like at the fair because of how the whole of Gough Park felt. And then because I live here and know what's been going on, I just plain didn't feel safe or comfortable. However, the weather was really splendid. I know we're all glad for the moisture.

I worry about your city government sometimes. That Blues Festival was a peaceful well controlled event.

I spent all day, both days, at the park. The dogs were harmless, the drunks non existant. I saw no fights.

A huge crowd of diverse origins had a great time. Sure, your adolescents need some manners lessons but most do. I found myself challenged a couple times by young Hispanic boys but peace prevailed. Where's their mammas?

Sock it to these hoodlums. The adult needs to be punished to the full extent of the law and pay monetary damages. The little hoodlums need to pay to the full extent of the law and their parents need to mortgage their house, if need be, to pay monetary damages.

It is time to hold people accountable for the things they do.

These young punks are for the most part children of welfare. What sensible country or state would enact welfare programs that reward the incompetent to reproduce? Welfare breeds stupidity, lawlessness and violence.

"tedious" concessions?! Awww...I hope you weren't talking about my booth with gator on a stick :) We were purposefully trying to provide good food without doing the obvious stuff that we have every year.
Thank you

Kicking a punks a#$ of any age in Silver City is a at most a $500.00 fine as long as you dont breck any bones but then you have to worry about the civil end of it.$500.00 is a small price to pay some times.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Capricorn

A certain person is strong-willed with the Full Moon in your emotional house of others. It's a lunar eclipse too, so this could lead to some ructions in which everyone becomes firmly entrenched in their own opinions and refuses to acknowledge anyone else's point of view. Get the arguments out of the way early on, so you can then concentrate on having a really enjoyable New Year's Eve.
