Just a question to all those who lined up their chairs. How many were moved or stolen? I know of many in front of LES that were moved, and heard of a few that were stolen. Gotta love small town America.

Come to think of it Yoder P.I. I have another investigation I would like you to work on for me that will come before all of the others. Seems to be that the Queen and the Joker have been spotted together at a few places in town, could you check this out for me and report back to me.

Lawn Chair, what time did you put your chairs out? They were not allowed to be out before a certain time. If they were out before they were supposed to be, then you deserve to have lost your spot. Even so, if you put them out at the right time, do you really trust the general public to not steal your chairs? Would you leave your car unlocked in Walmart parking lot? Or would you leave your personals sitting in Legion Keener and expect those to be safe too? Word of advice...dont leave your stuff out if you plan on not having it stolen!

it makes me laugh at the responses on this page. Latrobe tries to portray itself as small town America and you people thrive on saying you stole it. for the cities sake i hope you people don't live in Latrobe. Irritated i was put out after later in the evening after the appropriate time. I don't see the problem in this, but i guess if you were to lazy to put one out then you must be the one complaining about it. i guess next year i'll go to Cannonsburg.

Better yet, go to Brownsville Road, on the corner of Sankey, just on the border of Carrick and Brentwood. Place your chair there at 9pm and sit there all night. If you live to see the parade, maybe your dumb arse will appreciate where it lives! WHY would anyone even be bitching about this? Would you leave a stack of cash (or food stamps) sit out on the curb all night? What is the thinking to which a front row seat for a parade is sooooooooo important...or maybe it's the paranoia that someone might step onto your grass?

Putting chairs out to save a seat is childish!! No one does it for other parades. After all the parade is boring after a little bit. It does need to be shorter. Kids get bored with it. Putting chairs out is litter the streets and they need fine.

sue - you really don't think chair placing is indigenous to Latrobe? Have you ever seen the parade at Fort Ligonier Days. Placing chairs is self-defense for some of the older folk. Get over yourself.

you get over it sue, and remeber that you will be old one day and appreciative of any small consideration of your age that comes your way, including having a chair to sit down in and watch a parade, which might be the only highlight of your summer. Shame on you.

I am handicapped myself. I am saying they dont do it for other parades they just come a seat and watch it. I think it should be right at every parades. Why should people be special and save a spot. That is childish.

Sue, YOU are childish, the elderly or disabled do sit on chairs for other parades... I picture you as one of those people who leave your shopping cart in the middle of the aisle, interrupt people who are speaking, talk loud in restaurants, block doorways, etc etc... Just what the world needs, another self absorbed snot.
