it was in the video. If she loved her baby as much as the mother says then how could she of let her husband take it out of state and she stay behind. I hope that I am wrong but it sounds like maybe he had her killed. Such a waste of a perfect young life.

I agree, the story doesn't add up. Moms are usually very protective of their little ones. I would never take a baby to a funeral, especially out of state.

Maybe they couldn't afford for both of them to miss work and she didn't want to leave the baby at a sitter while she went to work and he was gone? It could be something simple...

I see nothing strange at all about him taking the baby with him to the funeral.
If you would give it some thought neither would you find it strange.
He was going to the funeral of a relative in another state. He probably took the baby with him for the relatives to see since the relatives live quite a distance away and probably had not seen the baby. Makes perfect sense to me and would not be unusual at all.
If the baby's mother had wanted to go to the funeral I am sure she would have gone.
There are a lot of shady people anymore. There could have been a number of different people who could have killed her. Who knows who she could have been in contact with.

Lnc... It is not "something simple" at all!!! No matter who done this, there is nothing simple about it. Now, it is VERY wierd for a dad to takea 3 month old baby out of state, apart from the mom, and to a funerl??? Come on already, the mom was a very good mommy and she lovesd baby so much, she would have never let baby go and her stay behind, what if she was breast feeding??? If you knew her then you would understand what Im talking bout. Also the dad I know as well and he is NOT the kind that would take a 3 month old baby out of state, apart from mommy, he always seemed to people around here that he wasn't so excited about even having a baby, hes a very lazy fellow, I just don't see him taking "road trip" with baby across the west, just himself and child!! NO WAY!!! How ironic as well that her car was found on the very road that he took to go to Mexico, I just think that is a clue from Heaven right there!!!

I disagree with what you said about where the car was found.
Since he would be traveling I-40 in the direction the car was found and if he had committed the murder, don't you think he would have been intelligent enough to leave her car somewhere in just the opposite direction.
I think she just met up with the wrong type of person in her daily life and they killed her for some reason.
I read her "MySpace" page and it sounds from the way she expressed herself that she would have friends of the shady character type. One can not be too careful. There are an awfully lot of weirdos running around out there.

Jody was an amazing person Linda. I should know I grew up with her. She was super over protective of me and my husband. She came to my baby shower and in her card she wrote if i needed anything she was only a plane ride away. She did NOT have "shady" friends. We all loved her, all her friends here in nj were like family. She ALWAYS made time for anyone no matter what time of day it was. And actually you do not bring a child to a funeral even if this funeral was down the street. Its just common courtesy. The family is grieving and children are a distraction.

Lnc: Jody was not working, she started doing avon a week prior to her disappearance but she would have been able to go to this funeral or stay home with the baby. At the last minute apparently she decided not to go...

I do not know how they sell Avon now but at one time it was door to door sales.
If that is still the case, there is no telling what weirdo she came in contact with.
This is a very dangerous world we live in today and one is not safe anywhere, not even in your own home. Sad but true.

how is the world any different then 20+ years ago. Now we just have people like you who are extemely paranoid and can't keep their rudeness to themselves. I think we are much more safer then years ago. Especially with the technology and education. The world hasnt changed, just the people.

I was Jodys friend and Im not a shady person, the Jody I knew wouldn't hang out with those type people, and Avon isn't sold door to door anymore, oders are made by phone calls, mostly, when would she have had time to go door to door anyway with a new baby to tend? Its a very strange case and wether anyone wants to admit it or not, from what we have seen, been told, from people and the news, it points more and more to her spouse.!! She was a good girl, not one to hang out with thugs and druggies!!!!!

I try not to assume, especially when it is a story I know nothing about. And recently, there was a story in the news about the large increase in murder cases in this county.

I would not assume that a father taking his child on a trip without the mother was weird, it's not the norm, but definitely not a reason to assume he's a murderer. My husband just took our 2 boys to Texas to visit grandma. But my husband is a very active involved father, it sounds like her husband may not have been? I can see why that would cause suspicions. What causes concern for me is all the posts from several different walks of life, who were all her friends, expressing their suspicions of her husband.

Is the baby now being raised by the father as a single parent? I think that would say a lot about what type of father and husband he may have been. This needs to be resolved. This child doesn't need to be raised by a father having to deal with constant accusations.. nor does the baby need to be raised by a murderer, if that is the case.
