It's necessary to have a government, but it should be LIMITED. I don't want government running my life. Do you? Have you ever noticed how anything run by the government turns into a monstrosity? Things always works better when there is competition and there is incentive to do well. Socialism and communism (democrats' ideal government) don't take human nature into account. Capitalism does, and that's why it works.

Republican (Conservatives) believe in very limited government. Securing our borders or National defense is really all the Constitution says the Federal government should be in charge of. There is not one program run by our government that is either successful or effective and now the Democrats think they know how to run health care!!!

Republicans believe in limited government at the federal level.

When you limit government on the federal level you give state and local government more power to dictate the rights of the individual person.

Government at the state and local level is more directly impacted by voting unlike government at the federal level, therefore with government the lower you go from federal the more representing of its people.

Our country was founded on the belief in limited federal government. Why should the US government make a law that impacts everyone in every state? Why cant each state make its own laws? When you allow each state to make its own laws it gives people more freedom because after all, if you don’t like your state you can move to another.

With federal law if you don’t like the laws you have to immigrate to another country.

The Republican Party believes that the larger the government is, the more inefficient it is.

Unlike in business, the US government has no competition.

When you buy something at MacDonald’s if you don’t like the taste you can simply go somewhere else to eat, you can patronize another business; we do not have a choice like that with the government.

Instead you have an institution with the right to kill, which takes 26% of you paycheck every month.

Democrats want this institution bigger? No, you should be afraid of the government!

The bottom line is that the founding fathers and the constitution was drafted so that the individual states could dictate the every day lives of their own people, not the federal government.

As stated before the lower you go in government the more directly impacted it is by voting, that’s why federal government should be limited.

The one thing I cannot understand about democrats is how quick they are to give away their own rights to the government.

They don’t seem to read anything in terms of international politics and history. We are very lucky here in the US in terms of individual freedom. You should always fight to ensure that the federal government doesn’t attempt to dictate rights to you. The federal government should exist to secure your rights, not legislate them away.

Legislating your rights away is what happens when you have a larger government, they take away the right to choose from the people. The government decides that people are too dumb to make decisions on their own, so the government will.

This is how freedom dies.

Understand the Constitutional role of the Federal Government...

The Federal Government has certain duties that it does more effectively than having 50 separate States try to do them individually. National Defense, International relations, Space Programs and Immigration are good examples. But the true role of the Federal Government is supposed to be limited. It has no role, for instance, in social programs, education, agriculture, health care, day care, etc.

Good Conservative Republicans, wish to hold office to strengthen National Security, to protect our borders, to get the Federal Government out of the areas where it has no Constitutional role and return control of those things to the States and the People respectively. One of the goals of the Conservative movement is to get the Government off the backs of American businesses and American taxpayers.

You see, the Federal Government oversteps its authority by using bribery. Why do you think the Federal Government pays farmers not to grow something? Because they lack the authority to order them not to grow something. Why do you think they give local school distrticts money with strings attached such as requiring them to use specific text books or experiment with the latest teaching fad? Because they lack the authority to order any public school to do anything. Those schools belong to and are run by the States, not the Feds. There was no Department of Education until Jimmy Carter invented it.

The Federal Government bribes its way into nearly every aspect of our lives. It has no business doing that. They steal our money and then bribe us with it to their will. That is why we are in the mess we are in. Somebody has to fix it. It surely will not be Liberal Democrats. They love controlling everything.

Competition has been shown to be useful up to a certain point and no further, but cooperation, which is the thing we must strive for today, begins where competition leaves off.

As to education:

I'm referring to my state, New York:

There is no lack of funding. The cost of education has been going up year after year.

At minimum we're now paying 20K plus, per student.

Yet 75% of so-called high school grades entering New York community colleges
REQUIRE remedial help to continue higher education.

To describe this phenomena you can use a phrase imported from the computer world:
"Garbage in, Garbage out".

It's not the lack of money investments turning our children into morons, like the ones
you see protesting on Wall Street, it's the decadence from years of Liberalism.

Obama has been groomed to be President. He has not really done anything for the people. He is not in politics to help the people. He is in politics to get to the top. And he has a lot of help to get there. One must ask, who and why??

I know something about what is called community organization and political action. It is a social work thing. What a community organizer does is all the behinds the scenes work without ever being seen themselves. They find the most likely person to be out in front as the leader. But behinds the scenes it is the social worker pulling the stings. Obama is the leader, but not the person that he appears to be. Who, I fear to ask, is behind the scenes?? I for one am afraid to find out. I am a Democrat, but I would rather see a Republican elected than Obama. God help us all!

Seems like businesses in the private sector are turning out as monstrosities as well. Look at all the banks and other business that where ran into the ground, or some one would buy these failing companies pump a little capital in them raise their stock prices, then sell out all the stock, get back what they put in plus a nice little profit. Then when the company fails after the stock drops, they sell off the companies assets fire all the people and the big wigs with bandit mask make off into the night with another large bag of loot. God Bless America

Sure republican conservatives want to create jobs, low paying jobs but jobs never the less, they also want safety regulations lifted, so what if a worker has to work in a place where asbestos fibers are falling like rain, hell that's good for your lungs and body and for their bottom line. Funny thing is they also want to put restrictions on the amount of lawsuits payouts, when companies does something wrong and its workers die, they are against restrictions except when it comes to all the fraudulent lawsuits like when 50 of their workers come down with a mass outbreak of lung or other types of cancer caused by asbestos. Also these republican business men want restrictions lifted so they can store radioactive waste in Texas and other places, then skimp on the required way to contain this radioactive waste, and sooner or later it will seep into the ground water. Hell but radiation poisoning is good for you, makes you strong like the incredible hulk, well until your body is shut down by tumors, but that is after you experience pain like you have never felt before and cough up blood. Sounds like a rosy future if Mitt Romney gets into office, no wait if Mitt Romney's financial Super Pac supporters gets into office. If this happens I will be living in Scotland watching all you puppets drop dead from cancer and America become a radiation wasteland, spawning mutants, but not of the X-men caliber shall we say.

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Leo

You need to vary your domestic routine slightly today to avoid feeling bored or restless, especially if the day threatens to be rather predictable. Think of ways to introduce a note of spontaneity into the proceedings, even if they're very minor, because they'll make you feel more lively and on the ball. If you're going shopping you'll be tempted by some impulse buys.
