Wow, some of you people are amazing, i just sort of googled my city and found this thread and took the time to read, god help us...Im not going to sit and poke at any paticular person, i'm from Detroit, i live on State Fair and Exeter in a community where black people mix with arabs in the majority. Its not just black people, and it's not in the black person's nature to be more aggresive, whoever said that looks at a dumbfuck in the mirrior every day. People are killing people, in southwest detroit alone there were 60 murders all of hispanic/latino origin, on 7 mile there 43 murders of mixed color origin. In Mexican village there were 20 murders of hispanic/latino origin. The majority of the city is african american, but the entire city is angry, confused and money hungry. People think they can do whatever they want, because it takes the police an hour or two to get there and 5 minutes to write a statement. In 2008 73 arab-americans were arrested for murder. People sell dope, its quick bucks for when you got 3 days or 5 days to pay a bill, or maybe when a child needs food. This does'nt excuse the act, and this does'nt apply to the idiots who live like a music video and ride crazy big rims. But anyone who knows someone selling dope in the city, most of the time they don't see big rims, or nice clothes, they see a working man laid off, a teenager with no clue, all in all, a person on their daily routine. You can't erase 3, even 4 generations of poverty with what Detroit has to work with. The real criminals are in the city hall and behind the desk at 911 dispatch. If i never gave someone anything, or better yet, took everything away from a person who only knows one way to make a legit dollar, not only are they going to get angry, but they're going to get desperate, and desperate times call for desperate measures. Nobody should have to break the law, so if you're 16 in Detroit MI, and you're reading this, take advantage of what you got right now...get that ass in school, get yourself a scholarship, financial aid is on your side, if you think you're going to make a career in crime, you won't i'm proof of that, i'm a 25 year old parolee who did'nt know shit from chocolate and knew everything about the world. If you still got a chance, finish school, go to college, make the system pay for you to live and it will if you come correct and know what you're talking about. Don't end up at county, go down the street to wayne state.

I should have taught my children to beware of people that claim to be your friend. The truth is since the black riots of the 60s, Detroit has been viewed by the rest of the nation as a "Black City". Rioters, excuse was that they were 'fighting for there city'. Now that they've attained Detroit with the title of "Black City" It has only crumbled. You fought for your city?/Now do something with it! Murdering each other and letting it crumble is no big contribution to society! Start by mowing your yards, cleaning up the junk and trash on your own streets and painting your houses! Teach your young generations to be respectful, dress well, and not panhandle and beg visitors for money. There's a start. Then maybe some company future CEO won't be afraid to look at starting a factory in Detroit.

Ya, GET REAL!!!The majority of these crimes are committed by criminals on criminals and drug related.The Detroit police are outnumbered and in some cases out gunned. Hard working Detroit residents look over their shoulder every minute of the day as a matter of survival and dare not speak out against these criminals in some areas. Seems that it is acceptable behavior and considered a job by some people to protect their criminal enterprises with murder. Yes, suburban money (from whites,blacks and Hispanics) have greatly contributed contributed to crime in Detroit in the way of purchasing drugs,sex and stolen merchandise. If our state and cities spent more on education we wouldn't have as many errors in these postings or crime for that matter.

I live 15 min from detroit and trust me, i hate to even sound racist, and not all but sadly most of this violence is caused by black violence, its a fact that african americans are more aggressive than Caucasians, that doesnt mean that white poeple can't be aggressive, just its more prevalent in black people, its part of their nature, not to mention the police force in detroit sucks, they don't do a damn thing to help, and most black people that don't want a part of the violence move out of the city to surrounding areas so that just leaves all the hooligans (black and white) including the police in the city, ever drive through detroit in the daytime? it's a freakin ghost town.
It is amazing how quickly white people forget their barbaric ancestry. In the history of the world no other race has been as evil and aggressive as caucasions.
