Fire crews in Hampton were called to a blaze in a kitchen fire caused by a pan of burning fat.

Another Grease Fire..And she just threw that shiit in the oven? Again baking soda would of been of help. And if you were going to throw that shiit somewhere, why not just throw it outside like on the street. Dang..common sense is not so common

I think she thought fast by putting it in the oven. She was on the second floor so throwing it outdoors was probably not a good option and a fire to put it out will make the flames spread. Who would think the oven would catch fire -- maybe it was full of grease too.

Give her a break. We don't know the circumstances. Were children involved, was she physically capable of doing more?? Thank God she and others are safe.

A lid kept nearby to cover the pan is first recommendation then turning off burner.
Secondly, a portable fire extinguisher. But straight up gawd honest truth.. never leave a pan unattended. |
