I won't mention what school I go to but I know almost every class had some kind of halloween time. Many Christians see this as a demonic event. So, why are we Christian students and our teachers not allowed to have a Christmas Day or Easter even but halloween? Seems like it's a double standard. I think Christians need to vote these school board members out and replace those principals. And my friends schools also said they had the same halloween parties as well. We live in a mostly Christian area and just because 1 scum parent complains we had our Christmas afterschool event cancelled. There needs to be more Christians contacting Christian Lawfirms nationally and lawsuits.

I'm a christian and guess what? I just got home from taking my children trick or treating. Dressing up and going door to door to have a little fun has nothing to do with devil worshiping. You sound like a true nut.

you may be doing the work of Satan. I hope your kids don't vandalize when they are out at 12 years old. It sounds like you may be setting yourself up for trouble.

Wow..what happened to freedom in this country?
You have a right to celebrate any darn thing you want. If others don't like it then don't join in. Your not being forced to trick or treat, celebrate thanksgiving, christmas, Hanakkah, Kwanzaa, the easter bunny or any other holiday. If you don't agree with it then don't do it but please shut up cus your ruining it for the people who do.

I'm not taking either side as a former teacher. What I do find disturbing is tax payers money, many Church people children, not allowed to express their views in a public school during what is called "Free Time." I know that where I taught school, there was somewhat of an anti-Christian atomsphere while the "World History" books contain Islam, Buddah, Marism, Hitler, etc. Just inconsistent.
My guess is the elections on Tuesday in VA will awake a silent majority as the unions, NEA, VEA, will face a backlash for years to come. If more Administrators and parents would be more concerned about drugs than a child saying or wearing a bible verse, we would not have so many dropouts and fights.

If this is true, I will sue the HCS free of charge for you.

I remember back in the 60s as an elementary student, our teacher read the bible 5 minutes each morning to us. It was mostly the parables and this taught us how to be good citizens. I never recall any students getting into any trouble except talking excessively, and even that was dealt with on the spot with the full support of the parents. I guess diversity today is the way to go along with the NEA dropouts, crime in schools, not to mention grafitti & fights.

yeah, bozo!
I took my kids out trick or treating and then watched them vandalize my neigbors homes while they were giving us candy. Fundamental christians scare me more than little kids dressed up having fun.
