Chris wrote: These state troopers are on the same level of incompetence as Rosco P Coltrane from Dukes of Hazzard. They have no right to waive pistols at innocent drivers or from what I hear, harrassing Bucky's 5 year old grandson this spring. As for t shirts and Bucky burgers...it's called "Freedom of speech." For the troopers to pressure the owner of "Grandma's Place" to discontinue the Bucky burger, they show how lost ,arrogant, and incompetent they are. Instead of taking frustrations out on innocent civilians, they should focus on their job at hand. Next time I'm down in the Southern Tier, I'll probably see the late Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg) standing outside the state trooper barracks scratching his head why Rosco, I mean the state troopers, can't find him. Sad but true LOL

I would really like to see them do their jobs professionally for a change. Bring him into custody without a beating or gun holes. And let him have a trial like he should and tell his side of the story. I'm tired of the macho cop deals.

I also feel these troopers are enjoying the overtime too much to go about it the way they should. How also they thought a clean shaven 25 year old they killed on an atv resembles a bearded 40 year old is beyond me. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. The police have been anything but that on the occasions I drove down rte 60 to Jamestown this summer.

Needless tax dollars are being wasted on communities in Chautaqua that have enough financial issues to begin with. The village of Cassadaga citizens have extra tax dollars going out because of their ineptitude. The propaganda they are telling the media outlets is a sham. While Sly Stallone in the first Rambo brought some on himself, the first time I ever saw that flick, I found myself gaining sympathy for him as the movie progressed. Somewhat of a similar feeling with Bucky here. Everyone of us whether we admit it or not, "root for the underdog with 2 strikes" and support the "David and Goliath" theory.

Eric, I am not afraid to speak my mind publicly either about their ineptitude. The troopers pressuring that restaurant to stop the "Bucky Burger" is deplorable. It's capitalism and one has a right to make money anyway they can. So Mr Manning was out of line condemning the Bucky burger. Nothing illegal on selling a product that us as consumers have the right to purchase or not to purchase. They have met their "Rambo" and are panicking like babies through taking frustrations out on law abiding citizens in Chautaqua.

You are so right i've had my fill with them. after taking my mother,my wife and myself and being held for 4 hours for aiding/abedding for somone we have not seen or heard from i only spoke with Mr.phillips one time and that was in dec,2005

I have never met Mr Phillips but the fact of the matter is if the warden at Erie Correctional had informed him he had 4 days left in his sentence, none of this would of happened. Simple as that. Without mentioning names, a security guard at Erie Correctional is habitually drunk off his bippy off duty at a northtowns tavern I go to. And you wonder how a man can get out of a prison with a can opener.LOL. Last Rambo analogy...if Brian Dennehy at the beginning allowed Rambo to have a meal at a restaurant, all would've been avoided. Same with if Erie Corrections informed him he only had 4 days left.

To Mr Manning and his group of Rosco P Coltrane Hazzard County trained dipsticks: As Col. Troutman said in "Rambo"...."Be prepared to bring a large supply of body bags." What goes around comes around...harrassing the innocent including my diabetic girlfriend who wasn't allowed to get out of her vehicle to relieve herself in a roadblock....You're dealing with the 21st Century Rambo and hope you atleast had an open mind to stop at Grandma's Place for a "Bucky Burger." Keep them on the run Buck!!!!

The Brad Horton Memorial Dice Run and Fundraiser is planned for Aug. 19 in Silver Creek. The benefit will be used to help his family cover medical expenses that resulted following his untimely death. Bradley D. Horton, 25, of Silver Creek was fatally shot by a New York State Police officer on June 25. The case is expected to go before a grand jury and the trooper’s name continues to be withheld. Bradley was a 1999 graduate of Silver Creek Central School where he played basketball and baseball. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2000 to 2004. Horton was also a self-employed carpenter and an avid outdoorsman. “All vehicles are welcome on the run and it is a rain or shine event,” said Don Matney, one of the coordinators. The Dice Run will begin with sign in at the Jackson Street Firehouse at 10:30 a.m. and all vehicle types are welcome. The Fundraiser at the firehouse will begin at 4:30 p.m. The events will be held rain or shine. “There is no set route for the run as yet as road construction and oil and stoned roads tend to create problems on runs for motorcyclists,” said Matney. The cost to participate is $10 per person for both events. Food and refreshments will be available as well as a cash bar. According to Matney, there will be Karaoke and music throughout the evening as well as door prizes, prizes for the dice run, 50-50 drawings and a Chinese Auction. Donations of food, auction items, and volunteers are being accepted. Large numbers are expected to attend the event.

Even if they did find the gun that shot that cop how do they know for a fact it was bucky that shot him? when it first came out when he was shot he could only say what type of car it was. He didnt know if there was more than one person in it and he couldnt identify the shooter. After he got out of the hospital he points the finger at bucky. So what is the true story? his first or last one given? They are sooo into finding bucky that at this point I dont know what to believe. I've heard it said before and on these forums that cops can lie to try getting info from others. so I guess we will all find out when the courts finally come around

Ralph Phillips is NO hero wrote: <quoted text> They can not say there were fingerprints unless it is TRUE I only heard of finger prints on the car he was suppose to be driving. and they say they found the gun in the woods in charlotte that matched the bullet that shot the cop. the last I heard they didnt have finger prints on the gun. So whatever..they will end up deciding it all fits together anyway.
