i see these place are just like casino, i have played in them and they are a rip off and you are gambling any way you look at it ,and you get cash just like a casino...they won't let you have the 8 liner's which u get gift cards.. but this is the biggist rip off i have seen in florida..these need to be takin out for sure take older peoples money is all

I seen the response of the Jacksonville Fla. person and I think if you thionk it's a rip off then stay out of them. At least there you can when other prizes and have a free drink and snack or a free dinner and the Fla. lottery and Bingo Hall's don't give you anything else but what you pay for. These places give single and elderly people a place to meet new friends and a place to have fun and it's better than meeting somebody in a bar or on the internet. You can't fart in Flordia unless you have a permit that is sad that we the people have allowed this to happen.

the sweepstakes centers in calabash,nc are still open / i agree with the majority,leave these places alone,the so called legislators are trying to run them out of n.c. because of pressure from lottery officials and harrah's in cherokee.they want a monopoly on any type of gaming the truth is!!!!! the sweepstakes centers give the customers much better odds of winning than any casino or lottery ticket/scratch off.we as north carolinians do need to make a stand and vote out the "legislators" that are trying to make this a "communist state!" these sweepstakes centers are a good place to go relax,have fun,meet new people,and take your mind off of everyday worries.let's do all we can as FREE PEOPLE and put the real fear in these legislators VOTE THEM OUT AND SEND A MESSAGE!

These Sweepstake Cafes have no oversight like the casino's do, they are ripping people off of their retirement and life savings, and prey on senior citizens. Gambling is legal, but not in this forum IMO. So someone could put one of these machines in their home and have the neighbors pay for a card which allows them to play on the machine for how many minutes they purchase ?

you stupit people!!!!sweepstakes gambling is a scam!! why don't you find out how they work.first you have a pool of 60million cards in each server .that means when they reach that goal, then they will release 10million winners between all their thousands of rooms with around 50 machines in each room!!! secondly where is all that money going? not in n.c. tell the f.b.i. they don't harm people, i say support the mafia, they feed off you kind of people... they do not even pay employee withholding tax!!! under table CASH !! we can find tax monies elsewhere!!! like pot!!!!!! not just poor people will pay taxes we all will from rich to poor. i work at the business center in salisbury, nc and I think its no different than spending $1 or $2 to have a 1 in 150,000,000 chance of winning the damn powerball. They want to close them because they haven't found a way to tax these games to where the owners have just enough to stay afloat. Ask those dumbass lawmakers how much of the 1.5billion they got to keep thats supposed to go towards nc education. But then why fire or fullough those teachers?
