Police: search yields drugs, guns and money

Officers with a narcotics search warrant issued after a lengthy undercover operation have turned up drugs, guns and money at a Lincolnton residence. The search by Lincoln County Sheriff's Office narcotics officers and High Risk Warrant Team resulted in the arrest of Nicholas Shawn Wright, 22, of Lincolnton. Authorities said Wright was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of cocaine, sell and delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana -- all felonies. He was also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was being held in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under $26,000 secured bond. Read more
