Buy American - Who cares anymore? You decide when you go to the Grocery Store, Discount Store, etc... do you buy the cheapest item even if it is made outside of the U.S.... or do you look for an item that is made in the U.S. and employing American factory workers???

Most people buy the cheapest item, then bitch about losing manufacturing jobs to Mexico, Canada, China, and other countries!

We are doing it to ourselves people!!

I agree, I for one would never hire an american for 20 dollars an hour when I could move my factory to a place of poverty, a place of no health standards, no workmans comp, and pay them little to nothing to endure it. Lol

You should come to Monterrey Mexico and see that is far to be poor or a place with no health standards. Workmanship down here is very good and efficiency of facilities is very high.

AS the second most important city in Mexico in terms of GDP, it has one of the highest quality of workmanship GLOBALLY at a reduced price. Do come and visit, and be amazed.
Thanks

To Jorge and the other Mexican worker. Productivity at the places that have relocated to Mexico was has high as it could be for many of the workers that were displaced. Poor management and greedy ownership have a part to play in many of the relocations. Has for the "buy American" comment, you pay me a decent wage that gives me 100 dollars extra a week in income and I will look for as many American made products as I can to buy!!! It is pretty friggin' tough to not buy a cheaper brand of anything when a person only brings home 296 dollars a week! Get a parttime job you say? I can barely walk both during and after my workday due to foot and ankle problems. I would have them taken care of,but insurance only goes so far and remember I only make 296 dollars a week!
The problem of this country is greed and excess! The factory owners throughout this nation and in Steuben County, only think of themselves!

Don't forget the little or no pollution standards! What a piece of crap country we live in! When I think of all of those that died, and those now serving in the Armed forces whom are either dying or coming home mained and or mentally scarred fighting for an America in which greed, corruption and indifference run amok;it turns my stomach!

And what is the sense is sending our troops, when all were doing is bringing foreigners over here to plot and ploy on how to destroy us . makes no sense to me.

I agree with you T LR. When the whole post 911 build up and deployment went down,I was all for the troops going into Afghanistan and kicking major butt and then hitting the border crossings and keeping the bastards at bay. When President Bush sent troops to Iraq, instead of just finishing has best he could in Afghanistan; I was left scratching my head over that one. The first thing that bothered me was that we left ammo dumps unsecured and did not destroy them. The second thing that bothered me was that Saddam Hussein did not seem to be any more of a threat than Fidel Castro. He may have been a nemisis to the Iraqi people that defied him,but I just could not see why that was a problem to our country at that particular time since we sat idily by while genocide was going on in Africa.
Bottom line,we should bring our troops home, bomb the heck out of the mountains and lay waste to the crossings to the point heavy equipment would be needed to clear them. Once our troops were home, those that wanted to leave should be allowed to so they could pursue the things promised them when they signed up. The troops that stay in could help restock and repair the equipment as well as be trained in undercover counter terrorism duties in this country. Believe me, we are in some deep kimshee once the terror suspects are tried in New York. Remember the sleeper terrorist cells?

My last comment sort of went off topic and should probably been a new one. I apologize to the readers.
I would like to know peoples thoughts about the current job situation and what they feel about the give away of jobs over the years to China and Mexico!

I remember when my first sexaul experience was with a man, pablo he touched my willy several times during that summer of pleasure in the old barn. He often coated my willy with a fress coating of feces couple times a day. but it was a secret that was suppose to follow with me forever.

How many people who are complaining here or lost their jobs voted for Ross Perot, the one guy who warned of "the great sucking sound" of jobs headed to Mexico if NAFTA was passed.

How many people who lost their jobs had a BMI over 30? How many people posting here have a BMI over 30?

There is a double standard in our country, where workers expect full health care coverage, yet employers aren't allowed to expect their employees to maintain healthy, active lifestyles.

Our country has become fat and lazy and we are all paying the price for it.
