Open Your Eyes--Your in Denial--Being one of working class in this community--it is very frustrating that there are so many living on welfare in this community and abusing the system. The system was meant for people in immediate crisis--not to live off of generation after generation. All you see in some areas of this town during the day are young men standing on different street corners doing nothing or playing corn hole until 5 in the morning. I agree that the children need assistance--but to what degree does this continue or can it continue?? Further, I get a note home saying that if my kid happens to forget his lunch money too many times he gets a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich for lunch--but all the free lunch children get a nice hot lunch--which by the way i am helping pay for. So my kid goes without-how is that right??

well I don't who you are referring to . but I am not on welfare, I live on money I earned,and I take care of my grandkids who also are not on welfare. so evidently you are not talking to me.

That's Great--That's the way it should be.=)

But-refferring to you comment above--I don't think all Connersville people live on welfare--however it is a growing generational problem here and everywhere and it needs to be addressed not ignored --on a National Level.

Dale Maxie Is the best damn cop around. Fair and not out to get anybody. It is a fact his fellow cop buddies set him up. Funny there is no mention that at the time he was going through divorce and found out he had cancer. I'd be drinking too.

Hell, let's all have a drink. Sad side is that if I were to be stopped by Dale Maxie for drinking & driving. I should be arrested, I would be arrested. He's no different except that in accepting his position as sherrif he was suppose to uphold the law (he did not) or resign.

How do you tell a pot smoker not to smoke pot if you're smoking it yourself. Everyone can't get a pass.

I also notice that this was posted last year. GET OVER IT. There was probably some justice served I'm sure.

Haha, did not notice the post was that old >.< Oh well, anywho, he pulled me over once drinkin and driving and gave my ass a ride home, told me if he caught me again I was going to jail, that was far more than fair :) He's still sheriff so all is well anyways

Does he still have cancer?I lost a few loved ones in the six months or so,and yes he is a fair cop.They want to make sure you get home safe.It's not like their out for quota at the end of the month.He's really an all right guy that was, or still is going threw a ruff time

would you now? Well please let me know what streets/roads you drive so I make sure to stay away. I don't care what his situation was emotionally, physically, whatever, NO ONE should drink and get behind the wheel of an automobile. Obviously you have never suffered the loss of a loved one at the hands of a drunk driver. Anyone who condones drinking and driving should go to jail right along with those they stick up for.
