Full story: Red Bluff Daily News

Editor: Well, I lived in Corning for 13 years and I've never seen a poorer excuse for a police force ever.

And they yak on their cell phones and drive as well. And I don't want to hear cops say they need to for business. In Redding, I saw a female officer yakking and giggling on a highly decorated cell phone that was obviously not police issue. They tailgate, drive through unmarked intersections without slowing, speed when there is no reason...... I could go on forever!

Yes, law enforcement personnel ARE immune to the laws that you and I have to obey. Just watch.

emergency vehicles are exempt from cell phone laws. as long as they are in their cruiser, they can do just about anything within reason.

Read my post again. The officer I wrote about was yapping on a highly decorated phone.(Colorful designs). This is NOT a police issue phone so she was yattering on a private line which is NOT work related!

so what, they are protected by the EMERGENCY VEHICLE. and are you really complaining about a decorated phone? get over it, seriously.

i use my personal cell phone for work, rather than an issued cell phone. who's to say that the officer wasn't doing the same? sometimes it's easier to use your own, rather than constantly juggling two phones.

there is more than one possibility, and it's not fair to anyone to jump to conclusions.

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Taurus

The steadier you are now, the better: this is not the time to throw caution to the wind and be exceptionally attentive to details. If anything, labour the point and you'll find in a few days' time that you are really glad you did. Friends will be able to give your morale a big boost at the moment, if you're in need of support. Team relationships and efforts work tremendously well at the moment. Why fly solo if you don't need to?
