James...why make this about where Zen may be from...just because her ISP is out of WI, doesn't mean she is. What does this have to do with where the posters are from? Are you going to attack the fact that the driver and his family are from MO? I believe Zen was asking you to be civil to the family. Maybe you should look up tact, civility and respect...and after you look them up, try to infuse them into your everyday life. They are good character traits.

You know these threads are open for all kinds of premature, mean, hatefull, spam, nuts, brilliant, funny, touching, helpfull, offtopic, agree, incendiary, interesting, racy, disagree..
That is why the judgement can be made on each post!!
Again the question I asked was not hurtfull just curious!
If ya don't like the heat get out of the kitchen!
The obituaries is the place for sympathy!
These threads are for everything else, maybe there's a blog in Wisconsin for you.

The Birds location has been confirmed in previous exchanges.

I was defining this is an open exchange of thoughts from many angles. If I were related to the driver I would read the Obituatires, no judgement feature out there, no opinions on cause of the wreck etc.

I have noted the origin of the driver but decided to wait for others to comment on the "Show Me" state residents, and my knowledge of MO residents is not good, personal experiance.

Tell the relatives of the man and child who died in the wreck, they didn't loose control of their vehicle fly through the air at high speed killing the 2 innocents! There is statement out here the trucks driver was known to drive 100 MPH.

Yes, I do live across the river, ten minutes from the Twin Cities. Completely irrelevant to this topic, however.

James, you've already accused the driver of using a cell phone, which has not been confirmed. Now you state that he was known to go over 100 mph, because some anonymous poster (who was quickly determined to be a fake, someone who did NOT know the victims) said so. It's time for you to back off from unfounded accusations and wait for the official report to come out. I doubt you're trying to forward the exchange of ideas from many angles; if you were, you would not pretend you don't understand how hurtful your comments are to the families. Just because you're allowed to say something, doesn't mean you should say it. Capiche?

This blog is what it is. Lots of people guessing at cause and judging all involved.

Note: I questioned why the driver of the car hit by the truck didn't seee the truck coming. Turns out there was a car in front of the stuck car and it moved out of the way of the flying truck. So the driver of the car struck was probably in no position to move out of the way, no time.

You cannot take every comment out here and interpret it as an assault on your relatives.

BTW some of us ****...:os have NEVER had a chargable accident much less an injury accident.

Alright, this is post #91. I don't get what in this gives you the green light to insult the family, but that's just my opinion. And you know what Sam says about those:

"Everyone posting out here are trolls looking for a story to comment on post their opinion. Opinions are like r-e-c-t-u-m-s, everyone has one

The ONLY place for a friend or relative to look for/post sympathy is the obituary listings. I have yet to see nasty posts out there."

what i don't get is how the idiots who caused the accident survived with out their seatbelts and the man and child who were wearing seatbelts died. too bad it wasn't the other way around. i hope the driver and his buddy get charged with wreckless endangerment and vehicular manslaughter! teenagers these days take driving for granted. did they not learn anything when they took their drivers ed classes, if they even took it?!
I knew the young man that was driving the truck, who you want to call an idiot. There is no way that he would have ever hurt anyone intentionally. He was a vibrant young man who lived his life to the fullest. He had a family who is greiving right now. He had friends who are missing him and wanting answers. You were not there during the time of the accident. You did not know Eric. You do not know what caused this accident. I have lots of questions and want answers that I will never get. My heart goes out to the family that lost their little boy and his daddy. May god bless you and find comfort in the memories that you have of them.

I did not know any of victoms or their surviving loved ones. I am not a religious person, but I have been thinking of and praying for all of you. This was so tragic on so many levels. I am sorry for your loss and I will continue to pray for you all. In the end love and faith is the only thing that can help us.

What I am trying to explain is that there are too many people driving at high speeds (mostly teenagers). Don't you think that an accident is bound to happen from some a**hole driving at high speeds?! Speed limit is 70, NOT 90+! Just for your information, if the idiot you knew wouldn't have been speeding, he wouldn't have lost control of his vehicle and he wouldn't have killed two innocent people. I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy or empathy for those who cause accidents and kill innocent people in the process, because of their stupidity to think its cool to drive 20+ over the speed limit, intentionally or not!! And, no, the driver IS NOT a victim, either! The two that were killed are! For the other family, its just the victim's wife now- no other kids. She lost her family because of the idiot. ALL my sympathies go out to her.

You are 100% correct!

Seems like people forget who the victims are nowdays.

Trucks like guns just don't kill people it takes an idiot to direct it to kill.

Has the State Patrol concluded anything on this one? I keep thinking about this one and that poor little innocent kid and his father. Life can be so cruel and unfair sometimes. I also feel horrible for his mother who lost her entire family in a blink of an eye. I can not begin to imagine the pain she is feeling. I think about the horrible accident and I try to make any sense of it that I can. Does anyone know if the State Patrol ever finished their investigation or came out with any more information on how that truck lost control? Was it just driving too fast or could their have been some mechanical problem with that old truck? The front end of the car was not pushed in on the one picture I saw. Did the truck roll over them from the side? I don't know the exact details on how this happened, but I just hope those poor people passed quickly. I also hope that poor mom finds some peace and the strength to carry on somehow.
