First of all, I would like to give my condolences to the family of the young man whose life was lost in this horrible incident. Secondly, I would like to point out that while under the influence of narcotics a person can and will do things that are not normal behavior even for them. I understand that the friends and family of this johnny person wants to defend him as any good family or friend menber would do, however there is no reason to verbally attack or harass the family of the victim. Lets try to be a little more mature about this.

So I am assuming you must be a dope-fiend too Christi, since you apparently know all the parties involved. Remember,"Birds of a feather flock together" Lets hope they don't set your home on fire next, make sure you don't make the same mistake of not paying for your drugs! It is so unfortunate that you feel it necessary to brutally verbally attack this poor victims family. Is it a common practice for you to verbally "kick" someone while they are down? Dont you think they are going through enough without your harsh words? How would you like it if someone was verbally attacking an opinion you have while using a profuse amount of profanity. I am sure we will all know how much you dont like it by your next post. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Like my opinion of you.
It is also my opinion that all parties involved are in some way "guilty" because if any of them had made even one decision differently this tragedy might not have happened. Even if the guy who got the drugs without first paying could have possibly prevented this by not using drugs in the first place, and his girlfriend didn't have to let an addict stay with her to avoid his drug dealer. All parties involved put other people at risk and all should be held accountable (in my opinion.) Unfortunately only one was prosecuted. May it be a lesson to everyone to make better decisions not only for their own lives but also the people they befriend, because like it or not, we are who we hang with. |

1 To My Son's Father, I was on the jury. Definately one of the hardest things I've ever done. All of us were so very sorry for your loss. But, we also felt bad for Johnny's family. However, when a young man decides to make crime his choice of a career, he has to be willing to pay the price of that path. Your son was trying to better himself and did not deserve to loose his life because of the selfish, stupid and evil actions of another. I hope that our decision was of some help to your family. I know you will still have more hurdles to get over, but I do wish you peace at sometime in the future. |
