Christian County arrests 18 sex offenders for not following Halloween law

The law the Christian county Gestapo was "enforcing" is a farce. It requires that a sign be posted "at his/her residence", but it doesn't say where! It requires a sign, but it doesn't say how large. Sort of sounds vaugue doesn't it? If it were talking about people driving a motor vehicle and a law called for driving "at a prudent speed", would you as a driver know at what speed you would be liable to receive a ticket. No you wouldn't.
The witch hunts have begun, and now beware anyone who has ever violated the law. What today is being done to the sex offender, tomorrow might be done to the bad check writer, the domestic abuser, the recreational drug user, or the convicted impaired driver. This is a slippery slope, and I am certain that this law is a test case to see just how far the government can go to infringe upon personal liberties.

I think this witch hunt mentality has got to end. My nephew was one of those arrested in Christian county, because the size of the sign he posted on his door was two inches too small. He was 18 and had sex with his 16 year old girlfriend. He pled guilty to it, received probation, and never spent a day in jail. It was even reduced to a misdemeanor, but he has to register until 2010. They kept him in jail for 12 hours and didn't charge him with a crime. I think this sort of thing has to stop.
Yes, he's a real menace all right, and I think maybe a little "Baldknobbering" might set him right.
Just a question though, when do you think that he's paid enough for this horrendous crime?

I think it's a little silly to compare Jewish people to child molesters, don't you? And asking child molesters not to participate in a children's holiday is far from genocide. Get a life.

I don't know "Albert", Remember that the Nazi's, and most of the "Good Germans" of the day believed that Jews were sub-human creatures who didn't deserve to even breathe the same air as they did. So Vizio what you are saying that if a perv had gotten to your child then it would be okay. That you would not want the Law to pursue and when the Judge says OK to probation then the perv is right back out lying in wait for another child you would not want them to try and prevent that from happening again.

Just a follow up for those of you who would like to take the Christian County sex offenders and lynch them. Today is Friday, and a week has passed since the arrests. NOT ONE OF THE ARRESTEES HAS BEEN CHARGED.
It was on KTTS today that before Halloween, Jay Nixon sent a letter to each of the County Prosecutors in the state, "suggesting" that they make no arrests as it was "highly likely that the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals [would] dissolve their stay, and the ruling by the below Court [would] be affirmed." I forsee a civil rights violation lawsuit or two, but of course, as has been established, these should fail because the sex offenders have, or should have, no rights at all.

Sadly the 8th circus is so out of touch with the rest of the known universe they will probably agree with you. Myself, I tend to think-- you mess with kids/ we mess with you. You hurt kids/ we hurt you. While I know there are no doubt situations where some good old boy decided to drain the lizard in a location not prudent, the majority of this is directed at those that need our attention-- harshly. Hurt a kid in my care, the "Gestapo" as you call them, would be a welcome relief.

Sorry, that's just the way I am. I for one have had some dealings with these types of situations. A rabid dog is just that. Understand and pet all you want, they will still hurt you. We will no longer let that happen. Tired of it. 8th Circus can kiss my wrinkled a--.
