questioning wrote: I am wondering why the mother didn't notice the little girls having blood or problems in their underwear? Adult men have pretty large penises, and to stick one in such a small child, surely, there would have been questions in the mother's mind? Wouldn't she have taken the little girls to the doc to see what is causing the problem? I mean, the little girls wouldn't be washing the bloody underwear, would they? I'm wondering about that abandoned house and the sleepover, too. Was there a waterbed in the abandoned house? According to articles, the two girls, about 5-6 years old were raped by the grandfather's brother, in an abandoned house, then the grandfather came to the room and told them that waterbeds could spring leaks and drown them? Another question in my mind is why, since the mother (x-wife) notified the father of the boy of the woman who married Jr in 1999 or 2000 that her daughters saw his son there, and that one of the guys, not sure whether it was Sr or Jr, liked to sleep with the boy, wouldn't she have stopped her girls from visiting, or staying the night, even? One more question... Jr remarried in 2000 and the accusations came from the x-wife at that time. Jr remarried 4 months ago, and in August, hmmm, was that just a bit less than 4 months ago?, the 26 yr old contacted law enforcement of being raped 88-95. I wonder that the accusations seem to stem from Jr getting married. I can understand why the children would want to get (and should get!) justice, if these horrors occurred, but the timing is really odd. I guess we will hear more this coming week. I will be interested to see what they found at the farm. Jr has been married 4 times and I believe the victim's mpther was the first wife. This theory doesn't work.

I don't think anyone can read this stuff and not have so many intense feelings. I don't know these people personally, but as sad as it is to say I hope that this really is the work of one angry ex because atleast that way it didn't happen. And like those who have commented before me I have a really hard time believing that this really is a conspiracy. I was born and raised in Utah and you wouldn't believe how many "men of god" have came down for sexual assault and rape cases in that state so frankly their religion is irrelevant to me. I hope it is a lie but at the same time my thought are with the victims. This stuff is all around bad and awful.

in this country the law is innocent until proven guilty .if these men have done this to these little kids, then they need to be hung on the court house lawn in front of everyone to see.put it live on t.v. so the whole world to see and if they ask me to pull the trap door i will be more then happy to.with that said the media has all ready found these men guilty.the sheriff has all but said they have a air tight case, that they have all the evidence they need to go to trial and convict these men. well if the case is so tight then why did they arrest a innocent man and grand stand his arrest only to find out that he had no involvement with these people what so ever. now this man has to explain to all his friends, family, his employer, and everyone on the dam street why he was arrested for something he has no involvement in what so ever, ijust think that in this time we live in that the media needs to respect the rights of all involved until there is a trial and judgement in any case. we as a society need to hold our judgement till all the facts are in and a verdict is reached in a court of law, not the court of t.v...just my opinion.

I've not actually see anything in recent days, re: this case - just the usual rehash of last week's events on Headline News CNN. Infact, it seems to me that there's a dearth of new information? Any idea where on line I can go to get more details? Did they ever dig up those jars, for instance? As I read comments from people that new these folks, on line, I'm struck by the prevailing notion that this is all a bit unbelievable. Not that I'm not aware of the kind of scum that harm children, regardless of religion or socio/economic divide. It's just so unusual to get a valid case of mass abuse, like this. Again, I harken back to the 80s/90s "day care" debacle, when some many were imprisoned for imaginary crimes.

I have been following these comments and am hearing, where were the Mothers.Read "The Heartache Holders" by Alex Stone and find out what her mother did. She told her mother and the mother informed the dad. He laughed and said "Oh leave her alone, she'll soon forget what is happening to her." She was the same age as these kids and she spent many years trying to cut out the hurt with knives and razor blades until she almost killed herself. Believe me these thoughts haunt you forever. God please let someone pay for the damage that has been done so these kids can have some kind of closure.

Wonder who will roll over for the prosecution. I expect they will cut a deal with the son David from Iowa to turn evidence. I don't know whether or not they need that but he is the one I would think would be the most likely to get such an offer. I am still hoping this is all not true. I wonder if the charges are true how one might support the son and 5 sisters. Takes a lot of courage, again if true, to out the nest. Hopefully it will make it easier for others to do the same thing which is the only way it stops.
Sunshine is a good thing! Keeping an open mind on this and hoping it is all a mistake. But if not...

Funny wrote: Isn't it funny. We live in a world where some think that Gays adopting children and abortion is worse than children getting raped and murdered. Being exploited, beat, drowned, stabbed or just left to die under a bed. Makes perfect sense to me. We live in a world where some don't like being discriminated against, but don't bat an eye when it comes to discriminating against someone else....they justify it through some warped vision of Jesus which somehow makes it alright. Interesting. Who are these "some" people?I know of no "true Christians"who think that abortion & gays adopting children is worse then child abuse or murder.and by the way abortion is murder .Gays should not be discriminated against in the job market or in renting or having a domestic partner.

The evidence will be shown that these ARE NOT false allegations, however just because everything is not SPLATTERED on the news, does not mean they don't have it. The reason for the news media getting involved was to bring any and all other victims out. The agencies involved do not need our approval for their jobs; their approval will come from the victims. The media outlets all want to have the ratings. To the poor man they took in for questioning and the media embarrassed him, I hope he gets some apology from all the media! That was just wrong! For the rest of the S*B's...burn burn burn!!!

I agree. The reason this innocent man was paraded was he was implicated through the TIPS hotline. Makes me think we need to update this system in some way so that innocent men (or women) don't get paraded in front of the media circus.

Wow, new charges being filed in Lexington against the boys. Another victim, another sister, has come forward with specifics. I think that makes 3 of the five sisters. Patricia G Mohler (divorced) and Burrell Edward Mohler Jr had 6 kids ranging in age now 25 to 31. I think the son is in LE in the area. My heart goes out to them as my hopes sink that this is all a mistake. If I had to guess old Burrell Sr must have abused the boys growing up. For all of them to be infected there has to be much, much more to it than is now known. The Mohler family goes back to a patriarch in 1730 in Pennsylvania. Ludwig Mohler was Swiss German immigrant with a anabaptist background. The family had a great heritage out of the box. This is so incredibly sad considering where it seems to be winding up. Good grief!

Could this possibly be true? When I first read this I thought maybe it was a spoof. I dunno. "Warrant: Mohler Jr., Daughters Kill Man Man Picked, Followed Home From Independence Center, Daughters Say POSTED: 6:10 am CST November 17, 2009 UPDATED: 8:30 am CST November 17, 2009 INDEPENDENCE, Mo.-- Search warrants obtained by KCTV5 Monday show that the case of six members of the Mohler family charged with more than 20 counts of child sex crimes may also involve the homicide of a man. According to search warrants filed in Lafayette County, three daughters told investigators that their father, Burrell E. Mohler Jr., led and joined them in killing a man they kidnapped from the Independence Center shopping area in April 1988. The documents state the three girls said they went with Mohler Jr. as they followed a man home from Independence Center. When the man pulled into his driveway, the girls said they were instructed to get out of the car and say that Mohler Jr. was having a heart attack. The girls said the man, described as 6 feet tall and 300 pounds, went to the passenger seat to try and help Mohler Jr. When the victim got on his knees to lean inside the vehicle, the girls said Mohler Jr. wrapped his hands around the man's neck and subdued him. According to the girls, Mohler Jr. told the girls to get into the back seat of the vehicle. The search warrant said the girls reported they were made to put on blindfolds, so they didn't know where they were going. After they had driven for a time, the girls said Mohler Jr. stopped the vehicle and told the girls to get out of the car and Mohler Jr. told them to hold hands and walk for a time. One of the girls stated she was able to lift her blindfold and recognize she was at her grandfather, Burrell E. Mohler Sr.'s farm in Bates City, Mo. Mohler Jr. told his daughters that once he let the man go, he would kill the girls if they didn't kill the man first, the girls said in the search warrant. The daughters said when their father let the man go, Mohler counted to three and his daughters were required to attack the victim. Once the man was free, one of the daughters said she jumped on his back and tried to choke him. After being tossed off the man's back, the girl said she jumped back on his back and stabbed the man. The girl also said her father stabbed the man in the front of his body, killing him. After the man was dead, the daughters said Mohler Jr. asked the two daughters not involved in the attack if they wanted to stab the man's face. Eventually the girls said they were made to dig a grave for the man and buried the man on the property. A document with the search warrant said that investigators found a glass fragment, an unknown type of bone, a credit card, eye glasses, a shoe or boot sole and a broken glass jar during digging done on the property on Nov. 10. Also on Monday, KCTV5 obtained another search warrant saying a girl, now a woman who came forward after hearing the initial reports of the Mohler's being charged, reported being held captive in a crawl space in Moher Sr.'s house for years. The woman reported she was sexually abused by all five Mohler men and got pregnant twice and one of babies was buried in the basement and then the basement was paved over. A radar showed that a box-like object was buried underneath the basement floor. The home is no longer owned by Burrell E. Mohler Sr.

That would mean that the oldest girls would be about 8, 9 and 10 at that time. I can't even imagine what those children went through with 6, count'em, 6 full fledged sick perverts having custody and absolute control over them. Can human beings reach this level? Are demons really this evil? Priests in a church? The remaining part of my mind just plopped on the floor.
Maxed out.

Yeah I did. That is why I ask everyone to sit, be patient and wait. This is not a hoax or a spoof, this is their reality. I do also know that the brothers had dug the jars up back in the early 90's and then re buried them. Like I said...I hope they burn these S*OB'S!!!
