Hopefully they nailed some of those old, decrepid wrecks from Warriors and Gladiators - the trash haulers coming in from NJ into the Scotland I-81 exit on their way to the nearby landfill.

Many of their rigs barely have the sheet metal hanging on if its not flapping in the wind coming down the road.

Bad trucks and bad drivers, those guys.

That will provide some nice revenue for the state. The cost of most commercial violations can be pretty expensive and is easy money.

I for the life of me can not understand how the average citizen dislikes truckers yet without them the economic structure would STOP.
There are so many good companies that do invest a large part of their revenue into truck maintenance in order to comply with D.O.T specs.
I agree with the "checks" by all means but to show trucks and truckers as BAD things happens to be quite sad. Thank you PA for giving the worst offenders a wake up call..

There are thousands of honest, hard-working, competent truckers on the road. Of the total, there is a small percentage of those willing to disobey laws and commit violations by not operating their trucks safely. Taking chances with mechanical condition endangers society. There are too many trucker accidents on I-81 and I-80. Some are human error and some are mechanical condition related.

Nothin deadlier than a smelly trucker trying to tex and drive a big rig at the same time.
Hell they cant even walk and chew bubble gum at same time.
These people are an extreme hazard on the highway.
What kind of job do you have.... I bet you have no problem going to groceries and supplying food for yourself and you family. Trains can not get the job done like tractor and trailers do. The next time you pick up ice cream it's a truck that got it there. The next time you need pens or pencils it's a truck delivering bulk items that got it there. You think trains are the answers well get them to stop texting and getting into accidents. I see so many comments that truckers are bad!! My husband has been driving for 10 yrs and has had one accident d/t a CAR failing to stop. I suppose you would say he should have gone into a ditch and risked his own life and manifest for a car that disobeyed the stop sign. These guys work tough hours and have a very on demand job. I never believed how hard there job was till I was a ride along. That goes for anybody who judges ride along once see that it's not the trucks only being risky but cars too.

Now please let me know exactly how you will get the goods from the train depot to the user? are we supposed to go in our cars and pick things up? trucks are a vital part of our lives and we need to respect them more. I think it is good to get the bad guys off the road. they only mar the good drives and companies that are out there. all it takes is for one bad driver to have an incident and it taints them all. there are bad guys in every walk of life done mark them all as bad because of a few. Thaks to the good guys.

With all the illegal immigrants funneling into our land we can hire them to cart it in from the train to the store.
Nothing worse than a trucker who hasnt bathed in a month.

yep, we should get the trucks off the road. Say maybe for a week or two. What do you think guys and girls, wouldn't you like to spend some real home time at home. Instead of the goverment impossed weekend (34 hours) Hell maybe we could all go over to Mr.Frank Wright's home for a cookout and he could explain how we should be driving.

Yeah okay..my husband is a very CLEAN hard working indivdual. Our three children are well provided for and he does a darn good job.. BTW you say again about trains.. How do you suppose they transport milk?? What they should put tankers of milk on trains that is only stable between certain temperatures and good for 66 hours...hmmm.. Do you drink milk??

Frank Wright needs to crawl out of his dream world and realize that there are more good truck drivers than bad . I went to my uncles funeral when i was a child because of a distracted driver backing out in front of him on a mountain summit . He chose to kill himself instead of her and her 4 kids .

Daily Horoscope for December 16

Scorpio

If you're concerned about finding the cash for what usually turns out be an expensive month, the New Moon is the time to start on a budget or some other financial strategy. Try talking to an expert during the coming fortnight, or simply decide to cut down on your expenses. Don't spend so much on presents this year.
