Kinda like all those black kids on the school bus that beat the little white kid. At least a cross burning does not physically hurt.

Lived in Georgia for several years, some of them are still whizzed about the outcome of the Civil War....or should I put it as they do; The War Of Northern Aggression.

Change seems to be mighty slow in the deep South. Many of the people are too.

True, but have you ever been to Georgia? It's another world completely in many respects.

Especially in Georgia.

One of the only states in the nation where there are streets named after Jim Crow. Disgusting and disturbing. Sick sick people.

Jim Crow Rd., Waffle House, Chevy Suburban's, more billboards than books, infrastructure that hasn't been updated in decades ... thanks but no thanks. I think I'll stick with the civilized north.

Like Chicago, where 49 children have been killed this year, slums galore, and a murder rate the last 8 years that exceeds the deaths of U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. Have fun up there slick.

The entire southeast is just one big cesspool of ignorance and prejudice.

And Illinois is not? Where is Reverand J Wright from? Why are so many kids being killed in Chicago? Speaking of "ignorance" slick, you are full of it.

There are still "Christian" congregations in the south that won't marry inter-racial couples, as well.

I believe Sand Mountain still has the snake handling churches too, I wonder how they feel about interracial matrimony? That's one type of service I never want to attend.

After 40 years of living in the deep south, I'll take the Chicago area any day! No question, it is a FAR superior place to live than the south! Of course, it isn't perfect, but at least people with an education and a progressive viewpoint aren't in the minority here. At least this area isn't controlled by fundies. And we actually have a thriving arts community.

I think all places have their pros and cons. Whether it's a group of brain dead rednecks (I'm a redneck, I just have a functional cerebral cortex) or a street gang makes little differenc if you're the victim. Having been a victim your perspective has shifted.

We all look for that niche where we feel safe and comfortable in the presence of like minded people. If you've found that nothing else matters so much.

What a weak mind, the nation saw Illinois justice last week when an honor roll student was beaten to death near his school by a fellow student with a 2X4 because he would not join their gang. And you have the audacity to trash the South. Are you still on meth today or are you simple in the brain? Do the South a favor and stay in Illinois, your kind of mind set nor social skills are not wanted here.

Georgia has many great higher learning centers slick. Georgia Tech, Mercer, and Berry College are just a few. Have fun with your finger painting though.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Leo

Despite the festivities, something is nagging away at the back of your mind and you won't feel happy until you've done something about it. Do your best to tackle it over the next three weeks while it will benefit from the influence of Mercury backtracking through your sixth house. Your daily routine is filled with an increasing number of details, messages, and information, much of which will be confusing. All you can do is change your attitude to whatever is worrying you.
