I am the newly appointed Emergency Coordinator for the Oklahoma Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) in Texas County. As we are getting organized, I am looking for volunteers. If you are a ham radio operator, or would like more information about becoming one and want to join ARES, please email me at ke5sua@arrl.net. You can also visit the Texas County ARES site at http://tcares.bravehost.com .
The Texas County ARES is closely associated with the National Weather Service's Skywarn Program. Our first order of business will be to schedule a Skywarn training class. The class is free and the schedule will be posted when the details are final. |
