I'm trying to find out something about Hammond who died in 1913. There is a star of David on his tombstone. He is buried in the roadside cemetery near Hoonah close to the Tlingit village. We visited Hoonah on July 13 on the Celebrity Infinity Cruiseship

There are some six gravestones at the Hoonah Cemetery near the Ferry Terminal that display a Star of David. They belong to members of the local church who held Jewish symbols in high regard. They are not Jewish graves. |
