Why this property isn't condemned

This property was to be developed in 2003 but the neigborhood didn;t want progress so here we sit..its also a old building.not historical but old

no, the neighbors didn't want a lounge across the street from their homes... it is a historical building, registered with the historical society

theres a spot for a condo!

or a new theater for the KIDS... a beachfront amusement park would be cool... just a thought

I think it should be used as a hotel. What a beautiful place for a wedding or any event. The city wants to build a new community center next to the now vacant depot to host lavish events. Maybe I don't get it but if I was shelling out the money for an event I would want it on the beachfront.

I don't totally disagree, Ellen... my thinking is that there was always so little for the kids to do but if there were something along the lines of Pont. Beach, like there used to be on the lakefront, it would bring in tourists and what a wonderful way to entertain the children!

And..........it would not be too far from the proposed marina.
