I really can't believe that there is a 10 p.m. curfew in Baldwin County over a tropical storm. If I want to have a late night snack at Krystal or Taco Bell, etc., guess I'm just out of luck. So much for getting groceries at Walmart while it's not crowded. Geez, the wind must be blowing 25 mph and it's raining; I cound understand if there was a hurricane coming or we had mass damage and there was possible looting. Bad decision Deputy Dog. Is this a pretense of things to come every time it rains hard? This decision is almost as bad as the County Commission calling a "State of Emergency" earlier today before it wasn't even raining, even though everyone knew the storm was losing power and breaking up. Also, while we're at giving kudo's for intelligence, hats off to the Baldwin County School Board for calling off school on a wonderful day to learn - there was plenty of information stating that the effects of the storm would not be felt until late afternoon.

Did you ever consider that it wasn't the kids that wanted to leave early! I guess summer break, Spring break, Christmas break, teachers' day's, Holidays, etc. isn't quite enough time off for those who are supposed to be teaching the kids. Maybe if we gave them the proceeds from an additional 1-cent sales tax, they could enjoy their time away from the classroom even more.

Daily Horoscope for December 14

Aries

Today you're happiest when you're giving your brain some exercise. That might involve reading a stimulating book, learning something new or simply chatting to someone who always makes you think. You're attracted to topics with a spiritual, religious or political slant, especially if you think they might improve the world in some way. And it could certainly do with some help.
