I've lived here most of my life. Small town still, not many good local jobs, most people have to drive at least 15 miles to work. But it is a good, friendly town to live in, for the most part.

Most of the old people has died off, the younger ones have moved away for good jobs and all thats left is relocated Buckeyes...

Brookville is one of the best communities I have lived in. Quiet but not so far out of the city.

You have got to be kidding, more like payton place, f. your neighbor, lets see how we can take advantage of this person. I had a wonderful life until I moved to franklin co. I spent a life time working hard to have a good life, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, well I sure got done unto by them but not how I would have done others. I never experenced anything like it before. More like pure hell! Its only pure gold if you are one of the thieves. |

I sure did. You can have you're little hell hole. |

sometimes it is an embarrassment, you have a sheriff and commissioner, and fire chief all arrested for drunk driving........2 commissioners that never agree with the general public.....but according to the paper brookville is the fried chicken capitol of the world!!!!!!!!!!

good for you who knows but there are people in this town that love it here and are glad to be raising their kids here and are proud of it! No matter where you go, it all still goes on. So enjoy packing everytime you get sick of a little town. Seriously, 12 yr olds getting pregnant isn't the towns fault it would be the parents.

I like Brookville. It is a nice quiet place to raise a family. I grew up here and stay here because I WANT to. Every town that you go to in the United States (or anywhere in the world for that matter) have to same problems we do: teen pregnancy, welfare abusers, gossippers, and other ill doers. I have actually live away from here and know this to be true. It's not just blind speculation.
To the original person who posted this topic: Brookville is a quiet lake town. We have a strong summer tourist industry with the Brookville Lake and the Whitewater River. The unemployment rate is very high. We have an unnatural love for fried chicken. It's a nice place to visit and a nice place to stay!! |
