They are also into puritanical values and they do intend to force their prudishness on us all." OK so you say it is Republicans who are not about Coal. Well here is Obama saying he will bankrupt anyone wanting to use coal. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/p-j-gladnick/200... Here is just one article talking about the closing of coal fired power plants and the resulting loss of jobs. All thanks to Obama’s EPA and the Demorats. This article is talking about coal fire plants closing as a result of these idiots. Now remember something. These are power plant jobs. They are not even talking about the miners digging the coal. The truckers, and railroad employees who transport the coal. How about all the people whose jobs supports the miners, truckers, and power plant employees? Everyone has a family. Who is going to provide for them? OH the demorats and the welfare state. http://thereveredreview.com/2012/coal-fired-p... This article shows all of the power plants that are in danger of being forced to close. Just look at the number of units closing in Virginia alone. http://www.instituteforenergyresearch.org/201... It is the Democrats who seek to take personal freedom and liberty away from the people. What do you think Obama care is all about? The only way they can make it work is with the death panels which the Republicans are trying to stop. Here is a little on it. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/03/22/house-vote... In this case 7 Democrats joined the Republicans to protect you from "unaccountable Washington bureaucrats meeting behind closed doors to make unilateral decisions that should be made by patients and their doctors.” As Samule Adams; The Father of the Revolution, once said" “If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom,— go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!” As a Democrat I suspect you love the feel of chains shackeled to you and licking the hands of the Democrats who give you FOOD STAMPS. Well I don't remember phasing your quotes from me in the manner you have here. Oh and just so you know republican use Welfare and food stamps more than Dems do. All the red states have higher numbers of people on food stamps. And you guy love to pull that old sound bite out and sling it around out of context. He was not saying he was going to set out to end coal or coal power plants just clean them up. Which would create jobs if the power plants hired people to do the upgrades needed to cause less pollution. Yes some older plants did close down mind you they were close to 100 years old and would have closed anyways. New ones are being built in other places to replace them. Obama care and romnycare are more or less the same thing and it is not about taking you freedom away it is about providing health care to everyone. If you have had health insurance never had a break in coverage good for you but some of us were not so lucky. It is funny you talk about how it is wrong for the government to get between a doctor and the patients but I am sure you are ok with all the restrictions on abortion. Which is doing just that coming between the doctor and the patients and this all come from the Republican party. So I guess it is OK for your party to infringe on peoples rights because you know what's go for them. Oh and that quote from Adams is talking about the chains of monetary gain not help from government hand outs.

Pass the "Fair Tax" or the "Flat Tax' and we'll all be shackled to a monthly government check. The proponents call it a "prebate" so it won't upset the simpler-minded conservatives, but we'll all be waiting at the mailbox for it every month.

Ole Moron is at it again. He recently voted for a second time to end medicare and give the rich another big tax cut. It looks like he does intend to screw us all. Let us vote this mistake out of office next year.

Hey morgan can you change the tax code so people like myself who adopted my wife child can get the adoption tax credit. I mean it only fair I get too seeing how a gay or lesbian couple can get the credit if the others partner adopts the child of said partner.

We're in a hell of a quandary this election. There's Morgan, who'd have us old broken people rolling around on a handcart pushing ourselves along with our knuckles shaking a tin cup for spare change (which may pay better than SSDI), and the Dems look to be running an hippie organic farmer from around Abingdon IIRC. Hard times, folks, hard times and hard decisions. I may just have to vote for the hippy although it pleases me not.

Oh, for those who like the "Paul Ryan budget", please read it, it won't take you long as there's no detail in where he's going to make most of the cuts. I guess you have to pass it before you can read it. How'd that work out the last time?

Newt2012 "NEWT2012" If a real person like Ron Paul or Gary Johnson can't buy their way in, we may as well keep Obama.

What a piece of trash he has been! The poor in Pulaski had their homes blown away by tornadoes. He didn;t even come to look. No disaster called. No government help. If you think he's going to do aanything for Grundy, your kidding yourself. I've written 3 letters to him.I get a form letter reply about what the Republican Party is doing and how he's voting along their lines-straight Republican all the way. United Coal tried to tell people they told Boucher how to vote that would help "Clean coal". I guess it was to little too late. Boucher help Grundy and all of his districts. He worked his butt of for us. Those that voted against him need to take a good long look at what they have done.Morgan Griffith has done wonders for Alexendria, and Northern VA, and their not even in his district! We got SUCKERED! Big time.

The Big Money suckered Southwest Virginia into electing Griffith. Griffith can be relied upon to support ultra low taxes for the wealthy and corporate welfare. Griffith is also against any form of business regulation. Griffith would have us return to the robber baron era of the early twentieth century. The rich conservatives love Griffith. He has no morals and is easily bought.

He voted for to appeal of reform of health care that pass by congress, Senate and US Supreme Court. He does not represent our district. He has done nothing for us (the people) of Virginia. Morgan Griffith compared to Rick Boucher is a shame for Virginia. Please Rick Boucher come back and help the people of our district. Rex
