Have you ever given any thought to the matter that THAT is exactly the way the US government wants things?
LOOK: Why would the army want people who can think about things?
They want men who are willing to just 'follow orders.'
The more a man is educated, the less inclined he is to accept orders to just 'go kill.'
NOW, STOP AND =THINK= ABOUT THIS: Why is it, do >YOU< suppose, that high schools have DUMBED DOWN the GPA in order to get a diploma?
THINK ABOUT THAT, DAMN IT ALL!!
NOW, THINK ABOUT THIS: When the time comes, THOSE SAME KIDS will be TOLD TO GO KILL AMERICAN CITIZENS, just because THEY WERE ORDERED TO.
Think I'm kidding here?
THEN, GO READ THIS:
http://www.geoffmetcalf.com/419.html
TAKE A GOOD =LONG LOOK= AT THE LAST QUESTION.
WHY WOULD =ANY= American boy —or girl— be willing to shoot dead, a fellow American citizen?
Are our lives that cheap that our fellows we grew up with, will consider us to be nothing more than dirt beneath their feet, to be dispensed with by a government-issued bullet?
Isn't that the essence of NAZI Germany?
Do >YOU< agree with that?
We are THE SAME, MacLeod.

I think there's always a job for someone who really wants one, barring any kind of disability that makes it impossible.

I don't think it's education that makes the difference as much as the perceived notion by some employers that it's better to hire a college graduate than a high school graduate. For a lot of jobs that isn't true at all, but because we've increasingly become more technology oriented and blue collar jobs are being outsourced, the jobs simply shifts according to the needs of the economic times.

Since when does everybody need a college degree to make a good living? Most people aren't even cut out for college, but the lowering of standards has made a college degree today what a high school diploma was 40 years ago--everybody thinks you just have to have one no matter what. But, like someone pointed out, many people made very successful careers and lives for themselves without even a high school diploma. They had resourcefulness and drive that many young people don't have today. They seem to think that if you put in your time at school long enough, by some magical progression, there'll be a job at the end of 12-16 years of schooling. It doesn't really work like that.

Maybe it's not our jobs that are declining as much as it is our values. Look at what a society produces and you will see what it really values.

With few exceptions, the less educated made bad decisions that put them in the box. It was they who opted out of school or slept through it. If they had maintained any interest they could have gone thru the 12 and if economically disadvantaged receive scholarships or funding from government, private sector, grants, to pursue their dream and ultimately obtain it. Face it folks - throughout the world less educated workers cannot expect or obtain good jobs.
Some people drop out of school and enjoy life and do well and some dont.
Some people stay and school and take a risk
of devoting (many years) of thier life to go work for lets say a corporation and then devote (many years) of thier life to working for that corporation and risk those years in hopes that they will not be layed off before they can retire
and or thier 401k dosent get devalued or gone.
When I dropped out of school I had a barter network setup and could get almost anything I wanted without ( cash ).
I learned when I was young cash is far from the greatest thing of value and only one of many things of a value.
I have given wads of cash away and have had good times and I have had none cash and had good times. Being (I)nnovative (i)nvites open many doors.
My life has been a mix of something similar to Daniel Boone ,Lewis and Clark you know those travel adventure types and Jack Sparrow
the pirate you know that funny pirate guy.
As solomon said:
Labor not to be rich
Ponder your steps
There are those who make themselves poor yet have great riches
Oh and as Jesus said pray always to escape
Luke CH 21 vs 34-36
I understand some people who are not single just cant move here or there as easy , and may not have as many
work here or there when they want to opportunites.
( As a man thinketh so is he )
The most you can rule in this life is your own mind

What we need is a euthanasia program. Why is euthanasia still illegal? We do not have room or resources for all these people. Imagine how much the price of gas would go down if we could get rid of a mere 50% of the 'dead weight' we have to carry in this country.
I will enjoy the day when (modern) technology soon here gets euthanasia and people will learn again the glory of horses and camels etc again.

The only reason Yah/God allowed (modern) technology was to speed the spreading of the Gospels to the ends of the earth which recently happended in this generation.

Amazing the gospel people who started America who came from the Isles to here to spread the gospels as prophesied in the bible , and all of a sudden electricity, engines, and flight were discovered. Which spread the gospels farther
in 1 century than almost 2,000 yrs

Jesus said:
when the gospels reach the ends of the earth the end shall come. The end of this age has already
begun. It is clearly evident be it you know what signs to look for and or one is not in denial.

Be it you read Isiah 24 you will see God himself is going to end this age.Alot of things will be culled by God himself as this age is ending.

(Luke ch 21 vs 34-36) watch and pray always that you may escape the suprise/snare coming upon all the earth.

Maybe! These less educated jobs at least takes some off the welfare roll and gives them a step closer to a better way of life and a way to return to a better education as well, if they choose too. Success depends on the outlook of the individual willing to at least try to better themselves. Not everyone is gifted to learn higher degrees. The high school dropouts have their reasons, but, some will return and succeed their dreams.

Well, allow me to encourage you to be the first instrument of God's wrath, and urge you to unplug your computer and throw it out of your window.

College degrees are for people who ~think they have what it takes~ but don't really have what it takes to survive.
Show me the last time a degree put food in your mouth.
Go ahead, show me.
Last I checked, it isn't a degree which counts. Rather, all the more it is what >YOU< can do, and not what some piece of paper says you did someplace else.
In finality, most of the great inventors of this land didn't have degrees from some degree mill on whatever coast, left or right.
And almost all of the most successful men and women didn't have some crap piece of paper saying they were 'great.'
Rather, what made them 'GREAT' was themselves, in what THEY did.
Sure, it's nice being able to say that you spent 'x' number of hours sitting behind a desk, listening to some arse expound about this, that, or another thing, and then passed HIS/HER exam based upon HIS/HER criteria.
As if any of us couldn't do the same thing?
Higher education is HIGHLY overrated. Just look around you to see the evidence of that: College grads flipping burgers?!
All I have to remark of is just this: Colleges and universities are BUSINESSES operating for a PROFIT.
WHY WOULDN'T THEY propagate the idea that 'you can't succeed' without a degree?
THINK ABOUT IT, DAMNITALL!!!
my lord you are warped! spoken like a true fool!

I sense huge amounts of frustration and resentment! OK, here's what you do, go out and try to get a job at a large corporation or firm with a starting salary of at least 50k.

I'm not talking about the cleaning dept. or building maintenance either. Then come back and tell us how your GED served you! and tell us again how earning a college degree is bullshit and means nothing!

Today a pencil is perhaps all that's needed to gain entrance into college. Unfortunately though life most likely will be harder without a few degrees under your belt. Getting a degree is hard ONLY for those who cannot afford it i.e. the middle class. Financial aid takes good care of the poor and the wealthy can go anywhere they want - but it is the middle class who have it the hardest - it takes them twice the amount of time to get a degree if they do pursue one at all.

Why are all of the "Well Educated" jobs shiting to India? Must be the same reason the manufacturing jobs moved to China. Now it's China and India who have caused oil prices to rise with their rising economies thanks to the American workers. Why do you think Bill Gates wants to import immigrants for the "tech" jobs? Cheap labor, find hard up desperate people who you can force to work for almost nothing! It's all about the money, who pays less, profits more.

What people do not get is that in this world the way it is somebody has to be poorer and some people dont mind being poorer and enjoy life as much as some who have a lot of material possesions.

Be it everybody had a college degree somebody still has to do the what is it so called labor type jobs.

Whenever I did labor type jobs in my life I was like I get paid to exercise and do not have to pay a monthly fee at a gym.

( Some days are easier to motivate yourself to be a positve thinker)

Also a smart poor person that knows how to barter can have as much fun recreation, work, and vacation time as a billonaire etc or even more.

I know I've done it and I'm doing it right now.

As solomon said their are those that are poor that have great riches.

I've many times went somewhere with no cash or very little, and within 24 to 72 hrs I'm having a blast, and bartering and flipping new opportunities on eachother day or night.
Other times I go on vaction for weeks or months
and chill and enjoy solitude.

You want to know what is worse than being poor , not being poor just because you are a slave to what others may think about you.

And being poor aint bad be it you aint got a sad attitude.

And be it you learn how to make connections which connections are barter opportunities.

Oh and always pray like sweet Jesus said (people ought always to pray)

( I never read you got to be perfect to pray )

Oh and what is perfection but practicing it.

Then there are those that have medical reasons that were not diagnosed because medicine had not caught up to the malfuctions yet that worked our butts off to struggle through with average grades just to make it out of hih school. Not asking for a hand out but alot of very unproductive people have degrees that cant find their butts with both hands, however can read a book.

Wasn't there a draft for Vietnam? Besides, John Kerry didn't say "dumb folks", he was saying the un-educated and poor. How many college grads ( in challenging majors w/ good grades ) or people from High School with a GPA lower than 3.5 do you see in the army? For many poor and un-educated, the US Army is a way out from the ghettos and a chance for a steady paycheck.
Um, ME? I have a Bachelors degree in Biology with a respectable GPA and I am in the National Guard. There are lots of intelligent, educated professionals in the military...doctors, lawyers, epidemiologists, physical therapists, Physicians' Assistants, microbiologists, the list goes on and on. West Point is one of the best universities in this country.

But the ground soldier is the the true backbone of the military and the reason all soldiers fight is to defend or support the ground soldier in some way.

The military is a great career choice for both enlisted and officers. Who cares what background they come from- when we are all serving together, we don't and that's all that matters!

We don't need jobs for people who don't want to work. We need good paying jobs for those who do,for those who pay taxes and want to BUY AMERICAN. All of you foreign product lovers are anti-american you started with your Japanese cars. Now you have sent the factories to Mexico andother third world countries for your un-educated cheap labor. Now you wonder why you have to borrow money from China to support the troops. You better pray to God China doesn't decide to foreclose on this country or stop their exports your imports. You better hope that illegal alien cutting your grass doesn't decide to cut your throat because they have nothing to lose and they're un-educated. Education has nothing to do with genrations of hard working factory workers who DIED fighting wars for this country, paying taxes and buying your American made products. Your education made you more greedy and you said fvck the american worker and we'll rape some poor children who we can force their governemnts into slave labor trade. Now your banking scheme's,illegal aliens, crooked politicians, corrupt governments and bridges are falling down now it's all backfiring in your face. Do not even go there with the education bullshit why jobs are so hard to come by,keep selling infrastructure to foreignors, weapons to our enemies, and just keep selling yourself's short. The American Trucker is shutting down this country come April 1st and I hope you are ready with your SUV's at the ports you fail to protect and load up your Peking Duck for dinner, because it won't be beef.

College degree or not, it does not always make a difference in this life. I know for a fact that some people with only an 8th grade education can make a living without government help or any other help except his wife also working at garment factories all their lives and raising four children, yes they struggled and worried every day but, they never gave up (they couldn't) and even today my dad can probably out figure or out think more than half of the so-called college degree people in this country. Common sense is also one of the things he has that these days many educated people have a lack of and believe me it shows when they start trying to understand the common man and how this country works, what it was built on and what is most important in this life. So please understand this, yes, some people in this country need a college education for we have to have them but, remember that the common hardworking uneducated (formal education but life educated) man and women are what we also need and I think there is a respect we owe them in this country. Thank you and God Bless America (everyone)

When I was growing up I seen how hard the middle class had it and still its even harder today.

So I figured be I cannot be rich, I shall be poor then.

Then I learned what solomon said that thier are those who are poor yet have great riches.

Thier is great riches for a poor person be it they know how to find them.

Ask, Seek, Knock, and keep flippin it

>Be it a roof over your head
>Some income
>Flipping things of value to increase
>Adventure
>Vacations and long ones too
>Solitude
>Socializing
>Travel
> etc etc

Whatever you need the list is endless, but alot of people dont ask, seek, knock for them.

Somethings you wont get unless (you ask) for them
others (you have to seek) them and they find you in the same way, and others (you have to knock) meaning thier is a (combination) of things to be done to recieve what it is you want.

Oh I like flipping things and bartering do they got a degree for that.

Like why do I need a degree to flip/barter some rich persons money/investments on a constant daily, weekly, monthly, basis etc

You see when I'm not on vacation, that is all I ever have cared to do really other than I also love vacations. You know how some people got a hobby and that is what they like to do.

And even when I'm on vacation I'm thinking about it alot of the time.Flipping/Bartering
