How far do you think I would have gotten getting married to there dads? its not about there fathers its about them the children taking care of your off spring and not there fathers setting a good example teaching them to take care of them selves my parents were married fighting drama all about them ...I was out on my own in my own apt by 15 1/2. I raised my children and myself very responsibly 16 or not i know lots of 30 y/0 parents who's kids are on drugs its about learning to parent and put the child first and not Judging

You people here are sickening. I lost my son last June to a lethal cocktail of anti-depressants and methadone. I recieved similar posts from heartless people blaming the dead and trashing them when they aren't even here to defend themselves. You can't hurt them. They aren't here. But you do hurt the mothers and the families of the deceased people. You people here think you can raise your kids right??? And that we as mothers must have screwed up somehow??? Do you actually think that we haven't blamed ourselves at one point. Let me tell you something. Kids do what they want. No matter what we say. And kids don't only die from drugs. Your own kids could be stripped from you like a thief in the night. They could be taken by an accident, disease, murder, who knows. The point is tragedy can strike at any time. None of you are above us mothers that have lost a child to drugs. A loss is a loss regardless. I feel sorry for your kids because if you can be this cruel to someone you don't even know and find no compassion in your hearts then you aren't TEACHING your children anything but evil. In the end all that really matters is love. And I am so sorry that no of you have any love. That is a tragedy in itself.

i agree that it is the children who decide and you can guild them to a point my point was you can't blame the mother for not marring the father or for haveing a baby at seven teen it is who they become in school high school who befriends them how trusting they are once they reach 16 they are hard to hold impossible i know i was gone at 14 i was so lucky not to be dead it is all a matter of cicumstance in the moment of that day im not blamming anybody but the dealer and the socity that allows that motel and that strip club to remain open ....i was just defending teen parents no matter your age you are able if you choose to raise children the same as 30 40 or 50 year old person it is about the children not who you marry

My problem with this is that people are blaming the strip club/pornography business. Stephanie could have easily found drugs or any other types of evil anywhere. These things lurk in EVERY aspect of our society. The News Herald articles on Wednesday made me ill. It's one thing for teens to explore and sometimes find trouble. The fact that this girl ventured this far and lied to get a dancing job, tells me something was seriously wrong. Maybe with her, maybe her upbringing. What happened to Stephanie is awful, but I think we all need to use some common sense when directing our anger.

I would be afraid to say things like this, because you never know when Karma will hit you!!!!!!!!!! We sometimes can't control what our children do, raise them the best we can and pray they go in the right direction. My heart and prayers go out to this family.

Look, I'm not going to speak ill of the dead, but come on. She was 17 and working in a nude club, doing drugs and sleeping with strange men. And thats not speaking ill, thats all true. People need to quit trying to rewrite history, and make her out to be an angel. And the comments about how nice she was? Really? She was a bully! She would go off screaming at people all the time. I'm not saying she deserved this, because nobody does, but again, quit making her out to be an innocent angel, nothing could be further from the truth.
Do I feel for the mother? Of course. But why didn't she notice her daughter being out all hours of the night? That club was open until 4 am. And how did she not notice her daughter was doing coke? This girl was 17, she should have had more supervision. This death could have been prevented if her family would have stepped up, and not worried about being the "bad guy" and got this poor girl the help she so desperatly needed.
RIP Stephanie. Your death was senseless, and a shame.
