I agree with the post about phones with no bells and whistles. Another post said to check you kids cell phones daily - that isn't going to work - kids will delete those images. I do believe we need to prosecute these sex offenders to the fullest extent of the law...and there should be no way for a family to buy their kids out of trouble even for 50000 dollars.

ALAN: You [and all those who posted at Mansfield News Journal] missed the point. The point is that some kid who does something stupid at a party with his friends is being punished the same as if he had kidnapped a 5 year old child, sexually assults her, kills her and buries the body.

If someone spits on the street do you want them treated like they are 9-11 terrorists?

I have to wonder how many "sex-offenders" end up marrying the person they are accused of sexually assaulting when they get out of prison. Because of pig-heads in America who can't distinguish between these situations.

When scarce resources are spent prosecuting
willing teens AS IF they were violent career criminals it is going to make lite of those crimes that truly need to be punished.

Imagine:

What are you in prison for?

Convict #1: I kidnapped a 5 year old, repeatedly raped her then murdered her. I did this to 10 little girls before I was caught.

Convict #2: I had sex with my girlfriend before we were married. And I had two parking tickets.

Convict #3: I put seeds in the ground and watered them. I think I forgot to pay my water bill.

Maybe you people who want to lock up teens and throw away the key didn't miss the point and just don't care that children are being punished way beyond any sense of decency.

If that is the case and you want more people in prison, they why not raise the age of consent to sexual activity from 18 to 21 years? I can just imagine how happy you would be then with a huge prison in every town in America, full to over-flowing with people who had consensual sex.

I can just imagine how many names I am going to be called for agreeing with the author of this column. Where do you mean, hateful and stupid people come from?

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Leo

If you ask someone to give you a hand today, don't be surprised if they make a mess of it. That's probably because their mind isn't on the job, but it might also be because your instructions aren't as clear as usual. So before you get angry, check that what you said made sense. Relations with someone older or more influential than you could also be blighted by confusion or doubt now.
