Oroville has second-most homeless, report shows

Too bad that more churches don't walk the Jesus talk and help their brothers. But social life, parking lots, comfy pews and the like are more important. And--don't identify camps in Oroville as code enforcement will send in the bulldozers with 1/2 hour notice to get out. Front row seats in hell are reserved for some.

Absolutely! What an idiot to wear his true feelings of Oroville right out there on his sleeve for all to see. When is the editor going to provide our community with a fair, unbiased newswriter?

The similar article in the Chico Version of this newspaper has this headline: "Many homeless live 'unsheltered'". Chico is rated #1 in homeless numbers for Butte County.

Why Editor would you make our headline in the Oroville version: Oroville has second-most homeless, report shows.

We continue to notice your treatment of this wonderful community. I for one, would like to hear your explanation regarding this. Feel free to chime in....

I'm not sure what the headline meant, but if you consider the population of both areas, Oroville has almost twice the percentage of homeless as Chico. As a citizen, that's what concerns me, especially since the city has responded to the problem by driving them out of town and making them invisible. Many are tucked away in areas where no one goes, and they wouldn't have even been counted.

Hey, we could use them for fertilizer. That would solve the problem. They would be useful and contribute to the local community.

No one's surprised at yet another idiotic comment from Chico. Where did the town dig these people up? And they can slam Oroville folks?
