Marijuana should be legalized, taxed, and regulated so that it can be grown on licensed farms instead of in houses. Visit http://yes390.org

I can understand the concerns, but really, forcing them to go indoors? What about the sick and dying citizens in your county whom only can afford to grow outdoors , which is barely no cost to the patient whom grows for themselves. This is unfair .. what is our state coming to? We have no more rights , even if the law allow us to do what we do, still your trying to dictate what we can do and not do even if the laws allow us to do... oh lets be controlling on this issue that most people don't understand that don't utalize this cannabis plant.. small grows should be allowed outside, period!!. And other larger grows outside should be allowed depending upon the parcel of the land, how big it is, collective grows .. tiny yard - personal grow only -6 or more depending upon recomendation from doctor, small 1/2 acre - 1 acre 30 -50 plants, medium yardage - 2 acre - 5 acre - growers for collectve of 100-or more patients, larger acre should be certified by state to grow for patients in their county. get real, there are soulutions! and the laws allow us to grow our own personal, and it doesn't say you must grow indoors!!... dictatorship is on its way big time...

Does this city own stock in PGE?
First, I can't use my fireplace for heat--I gotta buy electricity.
Now, I can't use the free energy from the sun, Lori Barker wants me to buy it from PG&E.
What TF?

Blah blah blah... mostly a bunch of BS

There is little to no need for grows in residential neighborhoods, at least if/when it becomes legalized/commercialized.

It's like the barking dog, loud cars/parties
issue. Once it extends over the fenceline and into anothers backyard it's a problem and a liabillity. Calling it medicine doesn't change that. Bad neighbors make for bad blood.

On the way into Oroville by the golf course there is a large grow in plain site. I noticed because some D--- fool recklessly pulled out in front of me on his motorcycle.

This is a house that is clearly out in the country with few neighbors, yet on a warm summers day you can smell the stench across the road. That is probably 200 feet or more, there is a high fence with lights and probably cameras.

How would you like to live next to that? There are requlations and set backs for agricultural operations to protect the public. At a minimum this sound like a start point.

Ain't it funny how, if you don't like something, it smells bad?
Setbacks?
You mean the orchard right behind pine tree apartments? The orchard on 8th avenue? The orchards all over that are getting sprayed with smelly chemicals?
What about Sierra Nevada Brewery? You can smell that all over town?
Just like the TEA partiers, if you are against something, make stuff up.
If you don't like the smell, maybe the council can draft an ordinance controlling the wind.

if i cant make vicodin on my stove you shouldn't be able to grow it...and if you do grow it it should be heavily taxed and regulated...I don't like the smell of gasoline...lets ban that too and killing skunks near my house...I agree with the licensed farms...watch out though because the price of corn will go up they need a plan for when that occurs...i figured moonshine would be legalized before pot...

Have any of you smokers just off hand stopped smoking for any length of time, like a few months?

Have you ever seen the people who are in the make it legal coalition?

I think that it is safe to assume the the orchards were there before the apartments were bulit, and are under a number of goverment regulations and oversite/inspection. The same goes for Sierra Nevada. It's reasonable to ask the city council that the grows get the same oversite and regulation.

Is that why Sierra Nevada brews indoors?
Doesn't help, does it?
Neither will a marijuana law.

never a fatality, never an overdose, pot cure all ills: cancer, malaria, polio, swine flu....

GREELEY, Colo.—A man who told officers he was a medical marijuana provider has been arrested for allegedly standing naked in a Colorado highway, pounding on passing cars and spitting at a state trooper. Dustin Robbins, 27, of Westminster, faces 13 counts including indecent exposure, assault and driving under the influence of marijuana.
Robbins was arrested Sept. 25 on U.S. 34 east of Greeley. Witnesses told investigators he was cursing at cars and hitting some.
Two women in their 70s and 80s told deputies a naked man jumped on the hood of their car, broke windows, walked across the roof and jumped off the back. Damage was estimated at $1,200.
Authorities said Robbins spat on the state trooper who arrested him.
Deputies said he told them he was a medical marijuana provider, and they found certificates for medical marijuana but no state provider's license.
State officials said records of licensed providers aren't public.
Robbins is jailed under $50,000 bail. No phone listing could be found for him and it wasn't known if he had a lawyer.

I am the person who advocates for your childrens rights in public education settings. I am the person who gets my hair done at your salon. I am the person who lives in a very clean home. I am the person who graduated top of my class..... get it?

LOL, thanks for the good belly-laugh.
I think it's safe to say that the guy had mental issues that were not a result of ingesting cannabis, but feel free to let your stunted logical abilities continue to push you to your initial conclusion. We'll all just sit here and laugh.

It amazes me how everybody thinks that somebody who ingests marijuana looks like they're a Haight-Ashbury Hippie. It must be the 'Cheech and Chong' effect or something...

People would be amazed at the cross-section of people that smoke marijuana on a regular basis... I think it actually cuts across more cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds than alcohol. My wife's aunt was a prominent business attorney who had to abandon her practice due to debilitating arthritis. She tried several prescription medications and the side-effects of the medication turned her into a couch potato, unwilling (and sometimes unable) to move.

One of her sons gave her some marijuana and told her to try it, and now she can do things, like clean her house, that were nearly impossible before. It works. She swears by it. To me that's all that matters, quality of life.

MJ might not have been the cause of all his problems, but it sure didn't help.

Does suggest that phony scrips are the rule of the day though.More scrutiny would help YOUR cause.
