Concerned Citizen wrote: Just wonder how long this guy has been doing this? Look at all the times people are suppose to be getting them and don't and then contact the company for a replacement and they send it, the company is out for the stolen ones too. They need to treat gift cards more like credit cards and when they are stolen, freeze them like they do credit cards. Once again, these were COUPONS, not GIFT CARDS. Unfortunately, the article had many inaccuracies.

Steve Stuck: The Postal Service deficit was because of the cost of automating. In previous years, the USPS has given millions of dollars the the U.S. Government to help them balance their budget. The Postal Service is a break-even ( non-profit ) quasi-governmental entity. Go ahead and use a third party mail company, if you like, but they get "their mail" from the United States Postal Service. It's been interesting to exchange these ideas about USPS, but this thread is about an individual letter carrier, not the entire organization. My prayers are with Mr. Branine. He made a mistake, but the stones being cast at him seem rather large, in my opinion. Where is your forgiveness?

John 8:7 says (in part)...."He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone..." and Ephesians 4:32 "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

Stephen Branine wrote: I am Rodney's son, and I would validate the previous two comments as being completely true from what I heard from my dad himself. He is no crook, and he has had 35 years of faithful service to the USPS. I know how it looks, and I would be upset at the Post Office and distrusting of the couriers too. I know that when I don't receive something I am expecting that I jump right away to doubting my mailman. However, since the people no longer lived at this address, they probably got some coupons at their new address. He knows that he should not have done it because it is the principle of the matter. However, he is a good man, and a man that I know for a fact every one of you would love to have as your mailman if you got to know him. Please understand that your comments are read by friends and family members and they do not appreciate your crude jokes or malicious comments. Amen, Stephen!!

I have the Qwik Pack and Ship store across from Wal Mart...Come and see us for great service!!! Steve Stuck wrote: I have had so many problems with the USPS in Brownsburg that I long for the day UPS to buy them out across the nation. I use only UPS anymore. They are friendly, on time and say hello to you. You go into a USPS and the people in there either look like death or don't want to answer questions. Getting my PASSPORT was such a hassle with USPS that I let a private firm get it for me instead of them processing my application.
