No ideas, yeah you're right, there was no alternate bill to HR3962 that was voted down by democrats. Just because your main stream media doesn't report it doesn't mean it didn't happen. As for Independents, I believe some recent polls show they are heading towards the right 2 to 1. That's not just one poll either......And to answer your question about who should run, I believe all incumbents should be nervous. Our government is broken, not listening and rotten to the core. I think a turd sandwich could run against half of the incumbents and they would win.

Mike, do you even realize that the only ones "rowing against the flow" are the die hard democrats who can't read the writing on the wall. Independents are deserting the Obama administration by the millions on a daily basis. they have woke up and found out that the campaign rhetoric was just that. There is no transparency in this administration, there is no effort to unify the country. Conservatives [not Republicans] and Independents will make the Obama presidency a one term presidency and will make the Democratic control of the congress an even shorter period of time.
