Wis. woman accused of killing son, 2, after 'she heard voices'

She needs to be shot..........BAD

She knew exactly what she was doing. She had better not plead insanity...because that will never fly. She killed her little boy in cold blood...fully aware of what she was doing. She deserves to die!

I hope she rots in HELL. What a crock of sh*t that she heard voices. You should have just put your children OUT of harms way by giving them up when you had them. Why did you even have babies if you had no desire to keep them???? Your an insane bit** that this world has no use for. Get rid of her.

Nothing is more tragic than when death comes to the innocent in the guise of a familiar, loving form.

I usually eat my lunch and read all the yahoos and pseudo intellectuals banter back and forth.

But this REALLY REALLY bugs me.

How can anyone do this? Ms. R you've got 3 kids. Can you imagine smothering them with anything but kisses?

I've been blessed with a 7 month old boy. He had me up all night because we changed his room around a little bit. OOOhhhh aaaahhhh from 11 - 3am. Still can't imagine giving him anything but love in the morning.

Hey everybody, instead of talking about What a total waste of skin this lady is.

Why don't we all talk about what wonderfully beautiful and gifted children we have been blessed with.

I'll start. My son has the biggest brown eyes. And wears his little corrective helmet with little or no complaints. He smiles ear to ear evrytime I come into the room and best of all he's got my sense of humor. He laughs hysterically every time we wash his bottom at bath time.

Someone washing your bumm, It doesn't get funnier than that.

By the way, if anyone has their manual left over mine didn't come with one.

She's an employee in the county's CHILD WELFARE division? Why aren't these people's backgrounds checked? Why no MMPI or psych fitness test? This could have happened to anyone's child.

I'm on medication: CHECK

I heard voices: CHECK

I feel remorse: CHECK

I need someone to pity me (i.e. I attempted suicide): CHECK

Yep I'm ready for my insanity plea because as you can see this was not my fault!!

Poor child. I have a 22 month old and everyone I work with knows the most important part of my day starts a 4:30 in the afternoon when I get home

This woman was checked, she was PERFECT for the job. No morals,no heart, no love, and no conscience. All the better to separate children from their parents and put them in Foster Homes to get more incentive paymrents from the Federal government. I would wager that her MMPI scores would either match or closely match those of all of her co-workers.

I am blessed with three beautiful children. My oldest is an 11 year old boy, next is my 6 year old daughter, and last but not least is my 5 year old boy. They are not always the most well behaved kids, but NEVER and I mean NEVER, have I thought of hurting them. I enjoy laughing and playing with them. They keep me in line and on my toes. I love them so much no matter if they annoy or embarass me at times. I'm quite sure I embarass them as well! This woman should burn in hell for what she did. There are no excuses for harming and killing an innocent child.

Lock her up she deserve to rot in prison. Pepel who kills thier own child is not human and she be with other animals.

Bet anything she doesn't get any time.. she was abused as a child or kids picked on her. At the least some kind of syndrom they will make one up, but first after thousands of tax payers dollars paying for her defense.

Okay...so...she succeeded at killing her son, but failed at killing herself at her "attempted" suicide? Apparently she needs to try harder.

goose7.......admit it, you are just jealous because the voices are talking to her and not to you.

she'll get a slap on the hand, three squares a day compliments of the Wisc. tax payers and all the drugs they can pump into her and she will live the rest of her life in a jail cell (or treatment center) that will never "cure" her; still hearing those same voices.

Gee, everybody posts how they never thought about harming their child--of course not, you don't suffer from mental illness! Do you people not believe there is such a thing as mental illness. Do you really believe it routinely happens that people fake mental illness, kill their children, then walk away by claiming insanity? It is a rare, rare case that someone succeeds with that defense, and rarer still that someone fakes mental illness and gets away with it. I don't know whether this woman is seriously mentally ill or not--but neither do you. You should be thankful you aren't possessed by demons like it is possible this woman is. Instead you spout knee jerk, macho "kill, kill, kill!" I'm thankful the people who regularly post here don't run the world.

Mrs. Smith are you really that clueless? First off, "eye for an eye" in the Bible is written to disuade punishment that is too harsh. Meaning you cannot kill someone for poking your eye out. It's not a way of seeking revenge. If you don't get it--don't quote it.

Also, I'm with "anonymous," not one of you undertand what mental illness is like. Your just inciting mob mentality. You think that because you would never hurt your children, that likewise, a sick person who can't make rational choices--should be able to just will themselves to do the same.

If she heard voices, she's likely got some form of schizophrenia, which is incurable, but treatable. It's a tragedy at both ends. It's too bad her meds didn't work--but frankly, that's the harsh reality with that disease. It's difficult to treat effectively.

And back to Mrs. Smith--would you prefer to have someone who responds to 'voices' on the street where you live? Or getting help in a hospital. Trust me, if you came face to face with someone that deeply disturbed you'd be overnighting your economic stimulus check back to the government in a heartbeat.
