The meaning of socialism.....
A political and economic theory of social orangiztion which advocates the the government community as a whole should OWN and CONTROL the means of PRODUCTION, DISTRIBUTION, AND EXCHANGE.
We will no longer be in charge of our own own fate in all matters.
Once we lose our freedom that way, there's no getting it back without civil war and bloodshed. and it won't ever be in our lifetime. We will never get our control back once we lose it, or I should say,give it away.

We have been heading toward socialsim for 50 years or more. It's been that long that they stopped teaching kids the pleadge of allengence, and prayers in school, and teaching them sex ed and giving out birth control pills and not informing parents.
Little by little they are reaching their goal.
An artical in the Wall St Journal says that larger schools like the Ivy league schools no longer teach the funderlist papers of about 85 essays.
I hope I have all that right from memory .
Some of these students were ask who the Vice President was and some said, "Bin Laden" and some said George Bush and one said she thought it was Sarah Palin! When ask how many stars were on our flag, they said there were 51 stars on it.

When ask to name a country that started with an U, was girl answered "UTOPIA"
This is beyond sad, it's down right scarey.

Once knew a Ruth Ann.Sweet girl,now a teacher,I think.
You are so correct.This is one reason so many of us are for Charter Schools.This would get schools our of the hands of the unions and the Fed.gov `t control and get back to actual teaching of the 3-R`s.
Also we advocate returning the school systems to the States but then the States would control and that is still unions and gov`t.But at least it would be closser to home and then maybe parents could get involved again.
