Well Gelber, nothing like job security eh? Your party created this mess. Now your going to run for Senate to do what? Clean up, meet challenges? Your gonna tell us your going to fix this mess that your peers created? How? Naw, you guys will keep this fire burning for as long as you can to squelch any cleaning up of this economy. You and your high end buddies.

"I reject any of the pigeonholes, whether liberal or — I am a Jew, that's true, proudly — but I reject those labels," he said."

Wrong answer. He rejects a label that he embraces???????

I love it! A federal assault weapons ban, with the intent of preventing criminals from obtaining guns! That's got to be the solution...disarm all the law-abiding citizens! YES!! It's bloody brilliant!

This "mess" was created by a Republican President, Bush, and his Republican Congress! It started with the derugulation during the Reagan Presidency! So, how did his party, the Democrats, create it?

I have absolutely no problem with private citizens having rifles, shotguns, etc. People have a right to protect themselves and use firearms for hunting. But, when it comes to assault weapons, the only reason a person would use one is for criminal activity. The recent shootings in Liberty City show that.

Try figuring out how government works and who were on these committees, in charge of them and policy making, and you'll figure out who really "created this mess" to take and buy the power. We are all doomed to this madness. Hopefully the people will excersise their 2nd amendment right and take back the power of government soon. There is nothing left.

In 1971 an unknown State Senator named Lawton Chiles embarked on a campaign to be United State's Senator from Florida. Hardly heard of except in the State Senate Chambers but, soon he was known the length and breadth of Florida as "Walkin Lawton" and he won big. Why? Because he was different and stood for something better then we had...and, that is why I strongly support Former Davie Mayor Harry Venis to run for the United State's Senate in 2010 in the Democratic Primary. During his three terms in public office he utilized his abilities as a certified public accountant to cut waste, inefficiency in municipal government and reviewed our Town budget line by line. He provided outstanding leadership in bargaining with police, fire, and lead the fight for our own EMS system. During and after Hurricane destruction which affected much of South Florida the Mayor moved swiftly with our Town's "Rainy Day Fund" to clean up debrie and to open water ways in several lakes which helped to keep our homes and streets from flooding. He got out there in his boots and got a little wet but he saw what the people needed and he worked through his office as Mayor to get help from the Federal Government. Harry Venis, is also know statewide as "Dirty Harry" Championship Wrestler. Over the years he has helped to raise thousands of dollars for charity at wrestling events. Florida needs his kind of leadership and ability. He will get the job done. Friends and neighbors who believe in Harry are encouraging him to run. He ain't "walkin Lawton" but he has that special quality of leadership that people from every area of Florida will appreciate once they get to know him.
