What good is praying going to do?
These people need help.
Maybe "God" or whoever your praying too was punishing them for being bad...
Praise Jebus
The New Testament God does not punish here on earth. I work with a volunteer group (VIM), volunteers in Mission, and am in working in San Marcos, TX at the present time. God works through the hands of others.
There will be volunteers there to help the folks clean up and get back on their feet. That is what we do. Life is not all greed, it short and sometimes hard. Helping one another is rewarding both for the victim and the helper.
Prayer does work.

Not idiots, just following a little document called the CONSTITUTION, ever hear of it?

The idea is to give STATES the right to govern themselves before the feds.

Give it a read sometime.

Well, your an idiot.

The constitution - remember that - prohibits the FEDS from just appearing, as well as common sense. The governor asks for assistance. Thats how it works. Its common knowledge among the emergency management field that you must be self sufficient for the first 72 to 96 hours after a disaster hits.

Insofar as your governor at the time, you elected the witch, you got her!

Good post. In most cases, Midwestern people don't have much use for FEMA, so they get off their butts and take care of themselves.

The town celebrated 100 years in 1986. In 20 minutes it was pretty much obliterated. Unprovoked I might add.
Really. Did you just say that? Since when did weather need any provocation? Are you saying that anyone else who has been struck by a tornado/other wx did something to deserve it?

Everyone knows all he has to do is throw money at it and remove a few freedoms and walla! It's the liberal solution to everything.
