thats good because its just isnt right to get a officer to respond if nobody is home and not knowing if somebody is breaking in your house. they dont know how to use the money anyway given to the city

I used to work at a trucking company off Regional Road. Sometimmes our alarm would go off for no reason, sometimes we would have a breakin. The Greensboro Police never responded to any of our alarms. I had one(an alarm) in my townhome and most of my neighbors did, also. We never saw a Greensboron police car in our development until we formed a community watch program. I'm just saying, they do what they want, when they want ton do it. We need new command at the Police department, and officiers that will do their jobs.

What a waste of tax-payer money. 98% of all alarms are false and the average alarm users has one false an alarm a year. It cost tax-payers about $75 to $100 in real costs to send officers to these calls. 12,000 false calls and the rest of us are picking up the cost. If the council wants to spend the tax-payers funds on a program that 98% of time does not work, I have a few other ways for them to waste our money.

They were already giving away five free alarms a year. Our officers have better things to do than waste their time on this.

I don't know WHERE your typists went to school(did they), but when I read an article and one of the words in the FIRST paragraph of this article is misspelled(waved as opposed to WAIVED). I lose all patience and respect for your station. This is just unforgivable!! If you don't know the right form of the word to use, for God's sake GO TO THE DICTIONARY. I HOPE the station has one, though is doesn't appear so.

In response to REDDO's comment about the cost of false burglar alarms, the cost is at least triple the amount he cited in his comment. The cost has to include not only the officers' time, bu also the time of the dispatcher as well as the overall cost of operating the vehicle. It's astronomical!

Is there a valid reason WHY, Greensboro, can not hire people that have common sense and know S O M E T H I N G about running a city, with out running it into a hole. I cannot believe these so called city council. The Police Department has enough headaches without these jerks causing them more.
