I am in the situation that everyone else has reported. I am at the end of my HUD sales contract period and the real estate agent and the loan officer have been trying to close the sale for weeks. However, O'Brien's delays have prevented the closure. I have contacted Cassandra.O.Dozier@hud.gov. Who else should I contact?

Thanks.

Seems u know nothing about realestate- U r buying a hud house which takes 45 days or longer to close. Obrien is an excellent law firm. i closed in 20 days w/out a hitch. You must have lost your funding.

No one, it isnt an Obrien delay if there is a title issue. Obrien is only a mediary between Hud and you. Sounds like you didnt play by the rules of getting the hud and package to hud 5 days ahead of time. You r like everyone else; you want you house today, but dont want to go through the proper channels to get it. Hud houses r sold :"as is, where is", so suck it up and shut up.

Do not listen to these unprofessional investors. Most of these uneducated buyers, and ZI use that term looseley, do not understand the process of buying a HUD home. These are homes in need of repair and many have title issues that take months to resolve. They are buying these homes for peenies on the dollar and want to move the low income famil in asap to start the $ flow in the pocket. Obrien does a great job of handling these inept agents/realtors and buyers. They close loans as fast and efficent as ANY law firm HUD has ever had. Do not be deceived by these morons who do not undertand anything but their own greed and selfishness.

I have been in the process of buying a home from HUD since April 20th and was supposed to close on May 29. On May 11th a title issue was discovered and HMBI requested the title search from O'Brien. The O'Brien Law firm didn't send the title search until June 16. From there HMBI discovered there was no title issue. According to my agent, she told O'brien that when she found out what the "issue" was. I have called them many times and even had one lady who works for them say its there fault for the hold up. So now its July 7th and O'Brien has had the clean title for over two weeks and they still haven't attempted to set a closing date. Anyone who is backing the O'Brien Law firm on here either works for them or is recieving one hell of a trouser friendly kiss from them imo.

We played exactly by the runs that O'Brien sets. Called for a closing date had the loan fully approved and told the Clients O'Brien needs the loan package 4 days prior to closing. What we will do not know was it took 5 days for them to give us an closing date. Now the Contract needs an extensiion with cost. Why does it take longer to get a closing date then the required time they requst to close. Why do we not have an alternative firm to use?

You folks in Ohio must be using another O'Brien Law Firm or else you ARE O'Brien. They are truly unprofessional and rude. The delays my client is experiencing have nothing to do with HUD policy or procedure. O'Brien took weeks to send its own firm title work it had and then too 7 days to send it to the lender that requested it several times. I am looking at having to file yet another extension thru no fault of my own,my clients or the lender.

something needs to be done! The obrien law firm in columbia,sc on st andrews is the worst law firm for hud >:[. closing put off three times. unprofessional-unreliable. this has been the worst experience of my life. I ended up out of work staying in a hotel after my lease was up. even after 1stclosing I learned 5 days later that they needed me to re-close because all the docs were wrong? I need to know who I can file a complaint after receiving a call that The house was not mine until I re-close. I began to have panic attacks out of the blue from this horrible/terrible experience. I will consult with an attorney asap. I will write any and everyone I can until it is brought to attention.never buy a hud house...I'll never buy another one ever again...I will be selling this home asap

Their lack of skill and rudeness is not just effecting the the general public, but also industry professionals. This is why there are so many unsold HUD foreclosures.... I will NOT try to sell these homes ever again.

You should get on some medicine to take care of the panic attacks. You have to re-close because you didnt complete the 1st closing correctly. You then started work on it and did repairs, BEFORE IT WAS YOURS LOSER.

These buyers really need to be educated so they dont sound so freakin dumb. Obrien allowed you to set a closing date while they searched the title, when an issue was found, it had to be cleared so you werent left w/ a home full of title issues. Those take 30 days to clear or longer, so quit your whining , shut your face and move on to Walmart as town greeter.

You may not be good enough to work there. It takes a special and hard working person. You arent to bright to post your name and appointment time so they know who you are. Clueless !!! Go back to Hardees and flip my burgers.

It must be an ignorant O'Brien employee writing these childish, unintelligent and unprofessional comments back. Grow up. This is just another reason why your firm has the repuataion it does.

LEARN HOW TO SPELL- I would say this person put on to much makeup and it clogged the pores to their brain.
I have bought over 100 Hud houses and every closing w/ the Obrien Law Firm went down as smooth as a shot of whiskey. I would highly recommend this prestigous firm to others.
