AARP: Obama Got It Wrong

This is a very dangerous thing for him to do. Not only does he risk losing the any chance of an endorsement but the public perception of himself and his bill could take a hit. To me its highly hypocritical of him to condemn anyone that is against the bill and say they are just telling lies when he is doing the same thing. After 6 months a lot of people are already starting to see that he is the same as Bush just with different goals.

I totally agree the government is getting into too much pretty soon will be just like 3rd world countries! And what is the rush on this healthcare reform anyway? I still don't know what it is about and I work in the health care field.
I think mr. Obama needs to slow his roll because it is not gonna fly not this one this round.

Shrink government down so our country can be like Mexico or some other third world country? Please educate me about this utopia that you all envision with no taxes, no government, no public health plan. Please tell me about any countries around the world that operate on these princibles and how rosey things are over there.

Obama did the same thing with CAT when they were cramming his pork bill down our throats. He said CAT was behind him and they would start hiring their layed off employees back if it was passed. They came back and said flat out NO we did NOT say that.

Oh I consider myself to be a pretty hard core conservative but I feel like it's my responsibility to listen to what everybody has to say. Every morning I read Foxnews, CNN, MSNBC, and Yahoo. I even spend a little time on Al Jazzera'a website just to get a little perspective. Just because you don't like what someone's has to say doesn't mean there opinion doesn't matter

We cancelled our AARP membership because this guy claimed that they endorsed his health care plan. We did not want to give our funds to an organization that supports this, thus cancelled our affiliation.

Only to find out two days later they don't endorse it? What on earth is going on here?

Let me rephrase that. I am a dem by registration, but I am very independant-thinking. Probably actually more of a libertarian. I am an American first, though!
