Now I am thinking this is probably frowned upon especially if tax dollars are used to pay for the trucks fuel, or even for the equipment that was used....

I know for a fact the Morristown Fire Dept. use to do this for residents if they made a "donation" to the fire dept.!!

I actually live in Fountaintown, and you do have to give a "donation" to get your pool filled, but it beats the nasty well water we have.

Donation huh? Is this recorded in the books, or pocketed by the man doing the filling... I am all for getting my pool filled by a large tanker... just more factors play into it...

How much does the water cost plus fuel and time and equipment wear... Just how much of a donation is required, is it a set amount? or does it vary from each person?

We all know tax dollars are being used for this which the donation doesn't even cover.

I appreciate your concern that Columbus Indiana is paying to fill the pools of Fountaintown residents. Well I want to be the first to dismiss the rumor.

The donations are collected and put into the general fund, under the direction of Mr. Dean Tyner, the Fire Chief for our volunteer department.

Our fire station operates well in the black and if it were thought for even a moment that this was a burden and not a great service to our people we would not continue the practice.

Did you know that illegal aliens literally steal services from every level of government which is ruining many aspects of our nation, there is a waste of tax dollars that Columbus is surely footing the bill for.

I like you attitude towards wasteful spending, if only all people thought this way.

If it makes you feel any better, I only accept $1 a year for the hundreds of hours that I pour into the community.

Who cares. Fill there pool, get there cat out of a tree, save our children in a car crash and put out fires too. If you want to fill a pool fill er up man. Maybe they get to take a little swim too when the pool warms up, I hope so.
