So, a Satanist is OK? The competency test is not a problem. It is administered in a multitude of jobs and throughout the armed forces. It seems that certain employment fields need sane people at the controls and the armed forces require sane people with their fingers on the triggers. You are also required to take such a test when imprisoned, so you can get help. You can legally be required to take such a test for any number of reasons by a court of law. Even to keep a driver's license and to own a gun. But, any crazy person can vote? You have to have a license to drive a car, but anybody can raise a child. Hmmmmm .......... Now, on to the second part. I believe the voter should be required to know how each candidate stands on the big issues. A bi-partisan panel can formulate the test. Aides can administer and/or explain them to voters who want help. I DO NOT BELIEVE that voters should just check "R" or "D." Which is what happens most of the time. What is wrong with making sure the voters know what they are doing? If Democracy is simply pulling a handle, ANY handle, or just checking a box, ANY box, with no idea what that handle or box stands for and thus no idea what you are voting for (or against)- then it is no longer a free democracy. It becomes a veiled or careless democracy. People on here rant and rave that Obama doesn't know what he is doing. Yet, we allow uninformed voters at the helm to say "eeny, meeny, miney, mo ....." I will sleep so much better tonight. And, do not try to twist my words into support for the old Southern racist voting tests of the not so distant past. They were based on discrimination in order to block a certain sector of the populous from voting. My idea will certainly bar the incompetent and crazy. Perhaps, voting day could go on for three days instead of one. It IS our primary democratic notion. This will allow time for the uninformed to become informed and vote later. The test could be short - 10 questions on things such as abortion, deficit, etc. It also locks candidates into taking concrete positions. End the see-saw play and the vague statements. You see, they would have to take the test BEFORE it is administered to the voters. They supply the answers. Perhaps, we could even include "none of the above" or "abstain" choices. Better yet, increase the number of parties to 3 - 5 total. Just my opinion.
I know there are aptitude tests, I'm a veteran of the USAF. I also know that they don't test very well for mental health. I know first hand. I mostly vote republican as the majority believe what I do, against abortion, against gay marriage, etc... I personally wouldn't vote for a satanist as I'm sure most of his views would be against mine, but his religion should not determine my vote as an American citizen. As Christian, however his religion would be a deciding factor. If we give the government the control to decide who should vote and who shouldn't based on mental capacity what would stop them from disqualifying the people they feel wouldn't vote for the right candidate? Either way thanks to all the political correctness, tolerance of EVERYTHING we don't truly have a choice. Check out know your enemy part 69 on you tube

Wow! Typical. Thank you. You just proved my point about Republicans. "I don't give a damn what Romney believes.. he's getting my vote." You are going to cast your vote for a man who you care not, in the least, for what he believes or stands for? Nice. Makes me proud to be a member of a democracy. Now we all understand how Bush got into office .......... twice. I knew there was a reason that I believe a test should be administered before ANYONE can cast a vote. The test should be two-fold. First, to make sure that the voter is mentally competent. Second, to make sure the voter knows the positions and beliefs of EACH candidate. Unfortunately, this test would severely cripple the voting power of the Republican party. Thus, it cannot legally be implemented. Too bad.
You dumbass.. we were talking about his Mormonism. Quit being obtuse. Besides, anyone that can vote for Obama this time, after seeing all the crap he pulled the past 3 1/2 years doesn't have room to talk about anyone else being ill-informed, uninformed or just retarded. why don't you give yourself an IQ test before you start harping on someone else's intelligence.

The Lord's Prayer can be found in the Holy Bible in the book of Matthew. The 'h'ail 'm'ary cannot be found in a book in the Holy Bible. Simple.

So, you admit that a satanist's views and stances on key issues would be contrary to your own and would, therefore, cause you to not vote for him/her? So, his religion determined your voting choice? Dipsh*t, above, seems to believe that the two of you were talking about Romney's religion and that it has no bearing on voting. I tend to disagree. His religion should have NO bearing on his right to run in the election - but, his religion WILL have a bearing on voters' choices. You just proved that. So, a voter who cares not about what a candidate "believes" or "agrees with" and only votes according to "R" and "D" NEEDS to take a test, in my book. At least, you vote by issues and ideas - not by letters. By the way, a bipartisan government would determine mental capacity so there would be no "right candidate."

he was shot and killed while commiting a robbery......legally documented, not the marter story mormons tell

Mormons documents Will tell you that Josheph Smith, their "fake" Prophet and founder of the Mormon church, CULT, did and accomplished more then Jesus Christ ever did.

More on Romney ,Tax Fraud and Lyer.(And by the way, even the several hundred pages of 2010 IRS tax forms he did release did not include an important one he had to file, the so called FBAR form that lists any money in foreign bank accounts, interest-bearing or not. Thatís a form he had to file because that year he admitted having money in a Swiss bank account, but the form is not in what he released publicly ó probably because it includes other non-interest-bearing accounts of the type millionaires use to legally duck out on taxes. Thatís not something he wants the public to see.)

He doesn't believe in amnesty for illegal immigrants but he does believe in tax amnesty for illegal bank accounts. Go Figure!

This is what I and a few million other Americans would like to see?hear at the next debate:

Governor Romney, you won the toss backstage, so the first question goes to you:

It's been widely reported you used to have a Swiss bank account, and you're on record saying you don't have one today. In 2009, following an agreement between Federal investigators and the Swiss banking giant UBS, Congress passed a law allowing amnesty for anyone who had used foreign accounts to evade taxes in the past, provided they amended past returns and paid any taxes due.

Did you or any companies you were involved with at the time in any way, shape, or form, benefit from that amnesty?

His Satanic head would explode :) at that point.
Actually he would dance around the question and never answer it, as usual

They believe once married in the temple you will be married for all eternity and your kids if good Mormons will live with you for all eternity.
They believe there are three levels of heaven.
They believe your marriage is not as valid as the ones they have in the temple.
They believe that there are many Gods and that Jesus an Satan are brothers. That Mary and God had sex. That the Garden of eden is in Missouri.
They believe so many crazy things.
Do ou think this is a Christian faith?
This is absolutely true! Google Mormon Beliefs. If you want to eb specific Google Mormon magic underwear. I dare you!

"Known to some is the fact that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or Mormon Church) wear a special kind of underwear in connection with their religion. This is true of most faithful adult members of the Church.(Mormon children are generally dressed the same as any other children.) The special underwear is called a "garment" by Mormons, and it is directly related to Mormon temples.

Garments are a symbolic gesture of the promises that Mormons have made to God. The garment is always worn under other clothing, next to the skin. In fact, for most people who wear it, the garment takes the place of regular underwear. Mormons begin wearing it during their first visit to the temple, wherein they receive individual instruction on how the garment should be worn and cared for, and furthermore, they undergo a sacred ceremony called the temple endowment. Solely during this ritual, additional special clothing is put on; by contrast, the garment or special underwear is worn at all times, both day and night, from then on. It serves as a constant reminder of the covenants made during the temple endowment."

The History Channel quoted that Joseph received spectacles from an angel that allowed him to interpret the tablets.

Dear sit, excellent post by both yourself and the REALITY guy. Please take 2:45 to see this very concise, accurate unbiased video on what your candidate belives religiously. Also, as a Christian, be it known that Joseph smith made over 9000 changes to the bible, 2/3 of them in the new Testamnet.

Too me where I'm off here.. Rvelation mentions it, but check out 2thessalonians 2:4 where it indicates that THIS LEADER WILL DECLARE HIMSELF AS GOD...paraphrased......now as a Christian, you know that a man cannot become a god, right ?????. Mitt Romney does. He believes that a man can become a god. That's a fact....how does that make you feel? A presidential candidate who believes that a man can become a GOD...

Check out the video....also. Please goto christiandemocrats.org I'm a democrat who would very much like to find an answer for abortion. Many of us believe that you vote for a party that you think champions anti ambition legislation. They do not. They perpetuate it. They made it legal and they NEVER challenge it...they use it a s a vote getter. We believe that republocans would fight AGAINST anyone who challenged 4Roe vs Wade....it's their cookie jar...best wishes
