Yeah, Sam was a genuinely nice person. When he wasn't drinking, drugging, stealing, assulting, abandoning his kids, kicking out car windows and getting tazered by the police, he was a model citizen and a pillar of the community. He'd give you the shirt off his back, which is nice considering it was probably your shirt first.

It sounds to me like none of you know what you are talking about...and how could you unless you were there? This site has been nothing but entertaining; I will wait for the real news report. I don't think anyone here is credible...especially not the man portraying to be a Washington County Officer.

Being a close friend of the family i will witness to these facts. I know Ronald Brickey Sr. to be one of the most honest, hardworking, family man. He and his wife run a child friendly home. Any child under his roof would have been safe. I personally haven't even heard his curse. goes to work everyday, helps his children and grandchildren. Its all about family at the Brickey household. Now about this forum... This is what I call stirring the pot. If you were not there you can not repeat any information that maybe wrong. It may come back and influence a trial a long time in the future. This is a small forum but everybody needs to help this man get out of jail. the family is getting money together they needs lots of help. my friends are simple people with modest means. please reach out to this family in their time of need. And yes i do feel like this falls under the STAND YOUR GROUND LAWS. I also knew Sam and have no comments as to his way of life. Use this forum to reach out to the Brickey family. Please and thank you

<quoted text> I agree, and since you know for a fact what happened, can you answer some of my questions? Couldn't a father and son have stopped this man, without shooting him? Did he fire a warning shot? They must have like this man prior to this incident, why did he feel he had to shoot him in the head? None of this makes any sense to me, something is missing in this story.
You have been watching way too much tv do not fire a warning shot!

if this was a STAND YOUR GROUND case a 250,000 bond would not have been set.

<quoted text> So they can get him to take a plea deal. They offer him a deal of whatever degree of manslaughter, which is probably all they can prove. Then the DA can chalk it up as a win, all tied up with a nice little bow. Just my opinion which is worth about two cents, tops.
I would like to know what the fight started over in the first place.
because the brickeys didn't want them driving drunk with a 10 year old girl, sams girlfriends daughter. i've not seen her mentioned on this forum at all. the Brickey family was a victim of stalking, sam was stalking his ex-girlfriend thru the brickeys.you don't think sam called before he dropped in to visit do you.

Look at it this way, no women will ever get beat up by Sam again. Nobody will ever get killed by Sam driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. No one will ever get cheated by Sam again. Nobody will ever get something stolen by Sam again. And Sam's beautiful kids won't have to wonder if he will ever straighten out his life and love them like a father should. Today, the world is a better place without Sam Eanes.
And the truth will set u free. i find this info helpful. Sam had only been out of jail about 2 months when this happen. what for u may ask, for beating a women that wanted away from him. she can rest easy now. Sam won't be hurting you anymore. Again reach out to the brickey family. we need him out of jail. he needs to be back at work to help pay for his own defense. nobody saves money for a defense attorney. living from paycheck to paycheck like everybody.PRO-BRICKEY SET HIM FREE EVEN HIS FRIENDS DESCRIBE HIM AS A MONSTER. If Sam was such a "MONSTER" why did the Brickey's invite him over and if he was not invited why didn't they call the police? If the Brickey's are pillars of the community why were they hanging out with the "MONSTER"? Knowing Sam's history (drugs, jail, beating women, alcohol abuse...) why would the Brickey's associate with the "MONSTER". The truth is they were ALL drunk (probably on drugs) shit got out hand and Sam was shot in the head. Sam did his time after he got caught for his crimes and now its time for Mr. Brickey to do his...

were you there? do you know the facts? lots of jailhouse lawyers here who seem to know about everything and everybody in gc. why hire a lawyer when you can ask the legal experts on topix for advice.
what did I say that was different than what was in the paper. Sam was shot, alcohol and drugs were at the seen, Mr. Brickey shot Sam, he is charged with second degree murder and his bond is 250,000. My original question was if Sam was such a "MONSTER" why was he there, why wasn't the police called when Sam arrived??

If the guy was hurting the man's son then he got what he deserved, and it doesn't matter how old the son was. Be stupid enough to hurt my son where I am any where near and I will kill someone too. Anybody that would not kill over their children is pathetic.
