The owner only said in an interview that he believes in the traditional Biblical marriage. Most people heard what he said- he stands for traditional marriage. The LGBT must have had cotton in their ears cause they heard, we hate the gays. The Bible says homosexuality is a sin. The Word of God says its a sin, so why is mankind/homosexuals calling God a liar? They are basically saying that they know better than God. That sounds scary, and looks terrifying typed out. Do you support Chick-Fil-A and their standing for what is right?

All he did was answer a question asked of him, he replied "guilty as charged" "we believe in the biblical family" he didn't even mention the word gay, lesbian, or home sexual. How many people knew they are closed on Sunday for the basic same reasons? Almost EVERYONE?
It's being blown out of context because everyone's needs someone to point at and be mad at... Get over it people, I'm going to hsve a chicken sandwich for lunch!!! Yummy!

Nobody bashed anybody though. Unless you are talking about the LGBT getting mad at someone who doesn't believe the way they do. I don't bash homosexuals, I just don't agree with their lifestyle. They are mad at the man for expressing a view contradictory to their own. He doesn't stand for sin, he stands for Gods word. No I will not make this a theological debate, so no verses. Satan knows the Bible very well too, and can quote it easily.

Chick-Fil-A is getting more publicity from this than they ever got from the cow advertisements. This was a smart business mooooove on their part to get this going and cause the upheaval. Everyone already knew their religious stance. Hope they tithe well with all the new profits.

A far as I'm concerned, I see no reason to mix religious ideology and chicken sandwiches. Has it gotten to the point that they cannot just be purveyors of moderately decent fast food? They have the right to think how they want, and I'm fine with that. However, I do think it is unfortunate that people are so closed minded. I am straight, but I see no reason to alienate, judge, or condemn people for who they love. I certainly do not support their stance, but I do like their waffle fries.

I have to disagree. LGBT started the boycott, it just blew up in their faces. I don't think things are turning out the way they planned.

Why such as sense of satisfatction, if you don't mind me asking? If there was a business that publicly announced that they do not support straight marriage, or condemned you because you believed differently, how big a hurry would you be in to patronize them? Even if you were the only one, would that still not qualify as, at least on a small scale, a boycott?

The boycott was a reactionary event. Unfortunately, they fell into the plans of the Chick-Fil-A management by taking a stand.

Completely agree. Just like I have friends who are different than myself and hold different beliefs, doesn't mean I run them off and out of my life. Our existence would be pretty dull and pointless if people all thought alike, which is what both sides of this argument seem to be doing.

Don't mind the LGBT folks and I don't mind Chicken sammiches.

It was during an interview with a Christian magazine that the statements were made. He didn't make a public announcement of hating homosexuals. He said he supports traditional Biblical marriage. Adam and Eve were married. He created Eve for Adam as a partner, helpmate. He took his rib remember, so they are 1 in body and soul in God's eyes. If homosexuality is so natural why are we overpopulated?

Everyone posting is proving my point.

1. Chick-fil-a stands for traditional Biblical marriage.
2. When you stand for something in this country you are automatically assumed to HATE the different view

Assume-LGBT is assuming Chick-Fil-a hates the gays.

Fact: they just don't agree with legalizing sin.

How can you give a statement to a magazine, and call it anything but a public statement? Sure, I have heard the story of the taking of the rib, but I have also heard the stories of Zeus, Odin, Horace, Ra, and the like. I don't believe that I suggested that he hates homosexuals, I simply stated that I find it unfortunate that people have such narrow minds. You don't have to hate to judge. We are overpopulated due to the irresponsible breeding habits of the world, I cant say that I see where that ties in with homosexuality.

what verse is it in the bible? First testament? The bible contradicts itself. Ya know it's a sin to eat shrimp on certain days? Ya know it's a sin to wear cotton on certain days? Ya know it's a sin to think of sexual acts? Ya know it's a sin to masturbate? Ya know it's a sin to wear a condom? There are many of these "sins" that people just disregard because they think it's not relevant. But they throw the gay thing around all the time. Tell me what verse in the bible it says it's a sin. And what version? Because there are many and they are all different. I don't think your Christian god had his "followers" make 8 damn copy's saying different shit. Let's hear it. Im all for people having religion I don't bash them for having faith. But that should go both ways. If you believe in god then god keep it inside your church and don't bash other people for acting a certain way. Gays can be Christians too. Your bashing your fellow Christians. Is it your place to judge Christians on their beliefs or is it god?
If your going to read the Bible you need to read the whole verse, chapter, and book. Not nit picking verses to say what you want them to mean. Yes, please tell me if I'm committing a sin, I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong. I'm going to warn everyone about the cliffs they are running full tilt for too though.

And do not forget.....this owner(s) of this company are not simply making a statement in a magazine. They have donated millions and millions to an organization that believe that taking away a right of any human being is a good idea and they want to keep it that way. A do not forget that the law of the United States should NOT be based on religion because a great deal are NOT religious so why should we have to follow a religious law?

They the gays look and listen for anything to piss and moan about. They say they want left alone and are very peaceable, yet let someone voice THEIR beliefs and THEIR feelings, the gays come running with posters, and banners raising all sorts of hell about it. I seen it on the news, the day it hit and the owner of the restaraunt simply sent the employees home and shut the doors for the day, leaving the confused IDIOTS standing in the parking lot. If that had have in Greeneville it would be hard not to go by there and just pelt the living hell out of them with a paintball gun. Or just scatter them with a fire hose.
