Please remember people when you vote, We the people,"for the people,by the people. If the candidate is haughty ,arrogant ,and self serving, don't vote them in .I don't care what their party is.We have had enough of self serving, special interests politicians. If you are a candidate reading this ,get off your high horse, and get your nose back out of the air and start doing what is true and just.I know and dealt with some of you and personally the impression I recieved was a smug snotty ,I am better than you peasants attitude. Those that humble themselves will be exalted ,but those who exalt themselves wiil be humbled. That advice comes from someone Who has much more authority than you think you have. You would be wise to take heed.

Yeah, be sure to come out and vote for the antiquated post of Jury Commissioner.

That costs us about $20,000 a year and has little to do with the actual operation of our courts.

Why hasn't Kauffman, Rock, Alloway, submitted a bill to get and up or down vote on eliminating the jury commissioner positions? The jury commisioners are like firemen on a diesel locomotive: featherbedding. The positions should be eliminated to save taxpayers' money.

Jury Commissioners are relics. Not needed. Jobs should be eliminated. Why aren't county commissioners looking out for the taxpayers?

What a joke these elections are. Almost EVERY SINGLE race on my ballot was someone running uncontested. Even the big judge race with Krom and Meyers... another joke. What was the point in having a primary and an election if I have no choice in the election but these two Fox News darlings?

I like how some of the races at least didn't list party... but my biggest disappointment was not having the Redding/Plum race on my ballot, despite sings for both Redding and Plum AT MY POLLING PLACE. Signs for candidates that aren't on the ballot? Yeah, that makes sense.

Now I can't even vote again Plum which my entire motivation for voting. I swear if Plum wins this election, you people are effing PATHETIC.

Hey, I wasted my right today... BY VOTING!

Majority of races were run uncontested, including the big Krom/Meyers thing. Ugh.

The only race I cared about, Plum/Redding wasn't even on my ballot.

What a waste of my democratic process.

So who's fault is it that there weren't more names on the ballot?

A climate of dishonest attacks, questioning motives, and baseless accusations against public officials has become the norm. Just look at these boards in the past week. Why would anyone want to go into public service today? Why would any talented person want to expose him/herself to the hostility, grief, and low pay of public service rather than be rewarded for their talents in the private sector?

So whose fault? I'm sure you have "the apathetic public" in mind, but it's worth asking the question whether the PO bears some responsibility for giving a forum for the rancor and hatred that feeds this climate. The best thing you could do for this community is shut this thing down.

Now now, Effington, I get the distinct impression that you are not from here, have not grown up under thumb of the good o;l' boy (read 'gir')'as well) Network.

If you had you would heave realizd that district magistrates are voted upon by
residents of the respective district in question. only. As for the sign: It is pure politics. I 'wife' Betty can vote earlier that husbnd "Henry" then that get gives 'Betty' sometime to change his mind. This small but effective srategy works both ways gender-wise.

That would be me clelbrating profusely the Loss of Carol Redding and her feeble attempt at building ANOTHER
Chintzy political machbine in chmbersburg.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Pisces

Whether the excesses of the past few days are catching up with you or you're feeling drained for other reasons, you need as much rest as possible today. Once you get tired, your defenses will be down and you'll start to fret about whatever is currently nagging away at the back of your mind. You're also concerned about the welfare of a certain person, which doesn't help.
